Wonder Woman Vol. 1: Blood (The New 52) | 
I‘ve been wanting to get a Wonder Woman tattoo and a literary tattoo for a long time. This image has me playing with the idea of blending the two into one tattoo 🤩 Tagged is the first Wonder Woman comic @GrizzVarela bought me. 100+ pages and I read it in one sitting.
pickA really interesting plotline, and some pretty interesting characters, but the art wasn't as good as a lot of the other Wonder Woman books I've read recently but that's just personal taste.
pickAt first I wasn‘t sure of where this was going according to Diana. As it follows Zola having Zeus‘s child. He storyline is so clear in where it‘s going. The art is a bit old school looking, and I like that better then a lot of the “new modern” look. I look forward to finding where the story goes with Poseidon and Hades now in the fray. #WonderWomanBlood
Interesting look at him here. Poseidon; Without a king, the queen has nothing. Diana; Nothing... as in nothing to loose. I would think you might find a woman in that position formidable. #WonderWomanBlood
Dannggg. This is an interesting new take. It‘s ties in to this storyline very nicely. That Hippolyta has an affair with Zeus - which became a conspiracy that Diana was created by clay. In order to protect her from Heras wrath. which Hera now knows thanks to Strife coming around. So now we throw in an existential crisis for her. Glad this here didn‘t change - even if astride seems to be trying to separate Diana from the Amazons. #WonderWomanBlood
Alright. New comic, new story, new origin to Wonder Woman. She is summed to protect her, Zola, from the wrath of Hera when she learns she slept with Zeus. Interesting take on old mythology of Hera sealing revenge of the woman her husband sleeps with. The almost nudity of everyone is odd, I must say. But I really liking it so far. #WonderWomanBlood
One of my best friends is moving to Liverpool next month (the traitor), so he asked if I wanted any of his books since he wasn't taking them... stupid question 😅
I have graphic novels or days now 😀 If I get through my latest picks for my #TBRChallenge I'll be getting a start on some of these methinks 😊

pickA very different take on Wonder Woman, particularly Princess Diana‘s origin story. I love the art in this series. It was cool meeting all the pantheon characters. A bit of a horror/gory bent too.
panEhhhh, not my favorite. The art and the story all feel really dated, rather than classic. However, this does fulfill a #booked2018 category: Flower or Sword on cover!

pickThere seem to be some good, strong female lead comics coming out recently - which doesn't bode well for my wallet, to be honest. This is a sort of origin story, we find out where WW really 'originates' from. Very exciting!! The cover art is a little misleading (i.e. Not as good as the art work inside), so don't let this deter you from reading it!

Ok, so Captain Marvel was really good (I finished, and it was a 'Pick' for me!), so I'm preparing for the weekend when I go to watch the new Wonder Woman film with my son for his birthday! Obviously thorough research is VERY important!
Just saw the movie and happy to report that: it. was. awesome. I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did, especially after the garbage fire that was Dawn of Justice. It felt so good to see Wonder Woman up there just KICKING ASS and doing the saving, never being a damsel. Makes me want to go on a Wonder Woman comics bender now.

pickThis was good! It wasn't super insightful or thoughtful, but I have a soft spot for anything having to do with badass women. I've wanted to BE Wonder Woman since I was a little kid.
My #hoopla digital loan for this one expires tomorrow, so I need to get my butt into gear! I'm still trying to shake my reading slump, but at least comic books keep me on track for my reading goal.
