A good continuation of the story in this interesting and all-involving trilogy. Some interesting developments that I certainly didn‘t see coming. The all-cast audiobook is good but feel as though missing some bits, so at some point want to read the actual books.

I love it when these two authors write together and I can't wait for whatever they come up with next. I'm hoping to finish this series for #serieslove2023

Aurora Burning helped me finish my yearly challenge! Phew, just in time for the holidays and the craziness around them!
I'm struggling on this series because the characters all fall into obvious stereo-types and stay well in their lanes. Additionally, these characters don't really have freedom of decision here. They are all reacting to the situations around them and only have the illusion of choice. However, while this annoys me, the time traveling concept has kept me hooked, and I already own the last book So, I'll definitely be finishing this series up.
It was really annoying that the whole team turned on Kal because he didn't tell them that his father is an evil POS. If the future holds the same values that 'you are your parents' then humanity doesn't deserve a place in intergalactic society.
Other than that. Story is moving along and is still interesting
This was such a let down after the first book. It lacked all of the charm and humor of the first book. It was predictable, a little bit trite and the new characters added very little to the story.
I am so disappointed. This really killed any interest I had in this series
I don‘t know what to say... this book has wretched my emotional stability. Nonetheless it‘s gets *drumroll* ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You only obstacles are those you put in front of yourself.
You must learn to let them go.

Honestly I had forgotten how much a party like #Scarathlon can inspire me to read!! I have completed 7 books for week one and read a total of 2444 pages!! Thanks for being #TeamSlaughter 's captain @Clwojick - my week one total is 1370!!!
There is nothing as painful, or as simple, as doing what is right.
This is funny, but what‘s really bothering me is the page number... if you know, you know 😶
No matter what the storybooks say, monsters rarely look the part.
“Nobody is going to hurt me,” I smile. “With you at my side, I am unbreakable.”
We Stan a lesbian queen!
I have idolised Scarlett and have taken her advice to heart.
The good news: this book did not suffer from Second Book Slump.
The bad news: I have to wait until mid-November to find out how it all comes together!!!!
Okay, I fee like I read somewhere that book doesn't have to be officially "classified" as our team theme to count as a theme read - i.e. this book isn't officially thriller/suspense but I could barely put it down...so does it count for the 15 points or 5 for an "other" read?
Here is my October #BookSpinBingo card - I boldly left myself zero free spaces, which could be an issue since I've been reading the tagged book... which isn't on my list 😂 Still, I am super excited about making some progress on some mystery series!!!
1. My mom‘s delicious scrambled egg recipe with shredded cheese and Sazón ??
2. As soon as the leaves start falling ??
3. I am halfway through the first book and I‘m trying to see if I can fit the second one in ???

I've finished both Aurora books & I'm trying to patiently wait on the last book. These were so good. I got into it very quickly. They're my first space themed books. I give them 9.5 outta 10🍪 (and I named my new puppy Aurora Jie-Lin)

"The disruptor blast hits the Betraskan right in her chest"
So many loved this second installment of the Aurora Cycle series. For me, I found the plot predictable and the characters where not a great fit with the plot. Also, the twist was no surprise. I did love the narrators and they saved the book. If I had read the book instead of listening to it I would probably have bailed. Then there is the cliffhanger. I can't even call it a cliffhanger because the book ended in the middle of a scene.
I just finished this book and I am not okay. It was absolutely amazing and got me very emotional at times. I cannot wait for the third book to be released! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

He asks for nothing, this boy. No favor. No quarter. He lives every moment of his life in pain, but still, he lives it. And he stands, where others would have long ago fallen.
"I told you this was a bad idea!" Scarlett gasps.
"And I told you I don't have bad ideas!" I shout, kicking through a doorway.
"Oh no?" she asks, cracking off a shot at our pursuers.
"No!" I drag her inside. "Just less amazing ones!"
Took me a while to remember who's who but it soon took off with a bang.
Sassy and badass.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 — This is only book 2 of the series and it already feels like I've been following these characters forever. The plot is engaging, but the cast is far and above the highlight of this series. Each has a unique voice and complex motivations. This book pushed them all to their limits and the authors never took the easy way out with their writing. There's high energy action, drama, moral ambiguity, and cliffhangers to boot!
