pickCharacters felt alive and they were relatable. I loved them!
I loved the historical feeling, all descriptions were vivid. There was a secret that I hoped to get revealed.
The story was told from different POVs and you had to read through the same years. That felt sometimes a bit repetitive. But on the other hand it was sometimes nice to live through some specific scene from different POV.
The ending was crazy!!

pickA great start to an epic family drama. The characters stole the show. The plot was well written and it contained lots of twists and turns. I am totally invested and have already started book 2. 4.5 ⭐️

pickThis one was better than I expected! The story takes place in England, in the early 1900s. There are several main characters in the book and the first half of the story is kind of retold through each character's eyes, but as they tell it, missing information from a previous character's POV is filled in. The ending left me reeling and I need to know what happens next. I‘ve already checked out book 2

An excellent series with a cliffhanger at the end of each book making you want to read the next book right away. The William Warwick Chronicle is a spinoff of the Clifton Chronicles. I need to check these books out.
so-soI don‘t know why I thought that Jeffrey Archer‘s Clifton Chronicles series would be a dense, intelligent read. Quite the contrary. Harry Clifton somehow lives a magically advantageous life. He gets scholarships to the best schools and falls in love with a rich girl even though they have anything in common. The cliffhanger ending left me wanting to pick up the second book immediately! But there‘s only so much eye-rolling I can put up with.
pickWhat an amazing piece of storytelling. Throughout the entire book I felt like I was simply watching a movie. The story was told at a decent pace, gripping plotlines and some amazing character building. Looking forward to the second installment of the series.

pickJeffrey Archer is the best storyteller. His Clifton Chronicle are my choice for #FictionFriday. The whole series is a 5 star read. It is a great family saga. The 7 books cover the period from 1920s until the early 1990s covering the life of Harry Clifton. Books should be read in order.

The Clifton Chronicles is a truly cracking series. 7 books that are highly addictive and left me with more than a tear in my eye! It may not be the best literature ever, but Jeffrey Archer certainly knows how to tell a cracking yarn with some lovable and some not so lovable (dastardly) characters. #noteworthynovember #time
