The Damned | 
pickI listened and read a lot of cozy mysteries and romances in April, so I was in the mood for something a bit darker. Cue vampires.
I read the first book around Halloween last year, so I didn‘t exactly remember how the last book ended. But I was able to catch up with this one and really enjoy it.
Not sure if I‘ll read or listen to the next book because I didn‘t love this narration. However, I‘m really enjoying all the magical creatures and world

I feel like not much happened in The Damned. I was very bored most of the time. I did enjoy Sèbastien and Celine with their troubles and coming together. The world building was great too.

It took me a while to read this one, but I did enjoy it by the end. I thought this was a duology, so it was a bit disappointing that this book didn‘t wrap up the story like I thought it would. However, I still love the world Ahdieh has built in this series, and I‘m looking forward to seeing how it continues.

pickI thoroughly enjoyed the next installment in Celine and Sebastian‘s journey, but I‘m left with so many questions! I‘m curious to know how many books are planned for this series... initially I thought it was a duology. Does anyone know? In any case, I highly recommend for fans of vampires, werewolves and the like.
pickI enjoyed this, but it‘s very clearly not a conclusion to a duology. This series was marketed as such and I haven‘t seen anything that says otherwise, so that‘s annoying. Other than that, it was an enjoyable instalment and I enjoyed seeing the characters again and falling into the magic of New Orleans.

A lot of action was crammed into the end of this second book. It is written from different perspectives than the first and thus has a different flavor. I got a lot of my questions answered that were left over from the first book, some things were predictable, but the story really held my attention.

The Sequel to The Beautiful is definitely not disappointing me, I want to get lost in this book.
