Characters weren't extremely unique but we got to know things about their pasts and it was easy to relate to them. Secondary characters could have been more fleshed out.

I loved the setting: private schools always have their own vibe and love it. This was really interesting from the beginning and all the time I wanted to know more.

After finishing the book I noticed how little actually happened but still managed to be really pleasurable to read.

This was a good YA crime novel, first in a series. Set in a boarding school, features a true crime podcast and a girl found dead the summer before.

This was the worst book I read last year. The premise seemed good and I was so bitterly disappointed by the execution. The ending left me with this face 😑 ⭐️

I enjoyed this for the cliche driven British boarding school, murder mystery complete with references to tiktok & podcasts - where the rich American girl hides a painful secret & drinks pumpkin spice lattes & the headmistress might be having an affair with her Dad - that it is. It‘s not a complete story in & of itself - this is book one in a series - the murder isn‘t solved & another crime takes place at the end (hello set up for #2). Fast read!
