My November Favourite: Dawnshard 🏝️🗾
Honorable Mention: Carmilla 🧛🏼♀️🦇
I enjoyed both these books equally, the only reason Dawnshard got the top spot, is because a lot of my long answered questions finally got answered.

Kaza's story in Othbringer was one I really wanted to know more about, the mysterious island, surrounded by ñ storm. The fact that the whole crew got poisoned. I kept thinking there should be more.
So imagine my delight when I learned that is exactly what Dawnshard is all about.
As usual Sanderson outdid himself. Quirky banter, a serious mission and a deep story about self-worth. It's so easy to love all his work.
This was a fun short book in the Cosmere series. With a ghost ship mentioned in the description, I was sold on this automatically, and the ocean journey was a hit as well. Fans of the Lopen will appreciate his having a bigger role here, and it was great to follow Rysn as a protagonist. I had to think for a bit about when we last saw her, but more alert Cosmere readers will pick up on it more quickly than I did. Overall, well done!

I loved this little one. It was just a great story. And a break without having a break. I agree though, I think parts of it will pop up later. #CosmereBuddyRead

Thanksgiving threw me all off and I forgot yesterday was Tuesday. We will blame the turkey. Anyway, I know this is a short story, but it‘s long enough that it doesn‘t read like one, so I‘m enjoying it. I really really love having more of the bridge 4 people and Lopen.

repost for @JacqMac
This one is so tiny! That being said, I‘m splitting it into two parts. Just to give those who need it a little extra time to catch up before we start another chunky one. And I selfishly want a little time to fit in some horror reads from my TBR in October. lol

I loved this little? (Still 300 pages) novella that is next in our #CosmereBuddyRead. It‘s a story with Lopen and some new characters. There‘s a ghost ship! Need I say more? 😆⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to the bookstore today to buy a book for a colleague who is leaving my organization, and I decided I deserved a little treat too 😂 What a cute little book for the #CosmereBuddyRead ☺️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was so fun to be back in the Cosmere after a few months away! I have about 1000 guesses about where the story is heading after this quick novel with twists & turns I was absolutely not anticipating.
Such a joy to read something so well crafted!

Today I‘m running on caffeine and Christmas spirit. It‘s been a Monday. But, hey, Christmas is a week away and I‘m indulging in all of the Christmas reads and movies. We‘re talking about some of my favorite Christmas movies over on the blog today. So check that out. While you‘re doing that, I‘m going to get more tea because I have a lot of end of year posts to schedule and very little time to do it in. Wish me luck.

I‘ve got a short review for a short story today.
I really enjoyed my time reading Dawnshard. I loved the idea of a ghost ship full of secrets, and that premise was executed so well. I loved the new characters that were introduced, and I hope they continue to make an appearance in The Stormlight Archives.
I‘m excited to have another Cosmere book checked off my list.

I don't know how I didn't read this when I read Rhythm of War, but here we are. Not much to say here: if you like Sanderson normally, this is more of the same and adds some color to a couple things in RoW. This one gives us some insight into larger cosmere happenings through the viewpoint of interlude characters.
As always,

I enjoyed this “novella” (its almost 300 pages) of the Stormlight Archive series and am excited to continue the last book (currently) out in the series. This is an offshoot of the main story with side characters, but I can see it having some major impact going forward. It does not really work as a standalone, you really need to be familiar with the world before reading this one. 4.5⭐️
My first #bookspinbingo!
Literally every time I start a Stormlight book, I just have to keep reading until I finish it. This was SO GOOD! We finally get some insight into some of the bigger areas of intrigue within both Roshar and the Cosmere, and with a disabled protagonist. Read this in a day and enjoyed it way more than the Lift one. This just is one of my fave series.

I started DAWNSHARD last night and hit 40% over breakfast. I like Sanderson‘s behemoths more than his shorter work, but I‘m enjoying this one so far.

I stayed up late to finish this Brandon Sanderson novella. It also gave me a bingo for March #BookSpinBingo! 🤩

On Saturday I finished a book and then I had a really hard time deciding what to read next. And this is a common problem. The last couple days, everyone has been posting their February Bookspin results and their March lists. I've never done Bookspin and so thought I would try it in March and see if it helps me pick the next book to read. And it looks fun! I'll probably do the bingo too. #BookSpin #BookSpinBingo

Cozy reading day! Finishing up this novella before I get into Sanderson‘s newest behemoth with my hubby. I was hoping this peppermint cocoa would distract my head from my caffeine withdrawals, but no dice. It can definitely tell the difference. 🤕

Impromptu evening beach read after my plans of a quiet evening in are disrupted by the neighbour‘s persistent car alarm. Even went for a swim first
Oh, Sanderson, i love the characters you write.
This was a fun read while waiting for my copy of Rhythm of War to arrive

Square 22 ✔️

As a #Cosmere nut this novella was just up my alley! The implications of Sanderson‘s universe are huge! This novella delves into living with disabilities like very few novels I have read do, let alone fantasy. The Lopen gets a great character study here as well. Can‘t wait for #StormlightArchive 4

Finally making time for this novella!
I'll read a bit tonight and a bit tomorrow and I'll be ready for Rhythm of War next week. 🥰
