We made it to Friday! I‘m so ready to get home and dive into The Woman in Black. I‘m planning my perfect October evening in, complete with pancakes and maple pecan coffee. I‘m going to read until I get tired and then I‘m going to watch a spooky movie. And that sounds like heaven to me. What does your perfect October evening look like?

It‘s 4.30am Monday here & I‘ve finally finished this book of gothic ghost stories. I quite enjoyed the title story, I much preferred it to the movie with Daniel Radcliffe. It had a creeping sense of dread instead of the in your face scare that the movie had. “Dolly” was very strange, I‘m not sure if I liked it or not, “The Man In The Picture” had a very Dorian Grey feel & The Small Hand was creepy.4⭐️ #HSreadathon #24B4Monday #SummersEndReadathon

Yay!! I went past the 24hr mark without realizing it. I‘m about halfway through this book and I‘ll keep going till midnight which is 40 mins away. I‘m so happy with my times and that I‘ve read almost 4 books in a 3 day period. Diving straight into Bk4 which is more ghost stories from Susan Hill. #BookMail Pt3 I‘m s huge sucker for ghost stories, especially English Victorian ones. One of the first books I was given as a child was an anthology of English Tales of the Supernatural so it‘s been pretty much a lifelong obsession. This is the story that the movie is based on plus some other short stories from the same author. All I need now is a thunderstorm, an open fire & some hot chocolate⛈🌬🔥☕️

What a fantastic collection of creepy ghost stories! I‘m not one to scare or get the jeebies easily, but this book did the job. The author really puts you into the story with her descriptive writing. I highly recommend and am very grateful my brilliant #litsypenpal @Litlady sent me this last October! She can really pick them! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️yep those are five stars!

👻 A lesser-known animated film called Witch's Night Out. It's so awful. I love it.
