Here‘s my cargo.
This was tough,I possibly cheated bc Ultimate Hitchhiker‘s guide is 5 books, but is physically in 1 book.
A lot of these books have an apocalypse? I don‘t know if the prompt put that into my mind, but this is more sci-fi/fantasy than my shelf would suggest, but once you know whodunnit mysteries are pretty much done. So 8 fantasy/sci-fi books, a travel book & whatever Song of Achilles is considered 🤣

Welp I know I‘m a taaaad behind on sharing my Summer Reads, but better late than never! This summer felt extra long and hot 🥵 so I turned to engrossing fiction titles that took me far away to other worlds and experiences. Here are the novels and stories that helped me escape the heat (at least for a while!)🔸 #2022reads #summer2022reads

Yay! The #BigJuneReadathon was a huge success for me. I finished 87 books/graphic novels, and started 2 others. There were so many great reads but also a handful of DNFs, but that‘s normal for me. I also managed to clear my #BookSpinBingo board and read a book to match each of the Big June Readathon prompts!

A huge thank you to @Andrew65 for hosting the #JoysofJune readathon! I wasn‘t sure how much I‘d be able to read and post due to the multiple back to back shifts that I had this past week, but I did better than expected. Multiple #5star reads including Seasonal Fears, A Boy Made of Blocks, A Spot of Trouble, and All the Feels 💙 Least favourites include Finn, and Love in the Time of Cholera.

Along the same truly confusing &intoxicating alchemical lines as Middle Game, but instead of Math & Language, the seasons are seeking to crown their North American avatars. I fell into this story fast, Harald March & Melanie Cosgrove are so charming. The cheerleader who has been dying since she was born &her sweetheart.

Ascendants &other Incarnates help &hinder them as the coronation approaches. Fascinating world building.

For some reason I thought this was a short story collection. It took me way too long to understand that it was a novel in the same universe as another of McGuire‘s books. So I was kind like that guy who wanders in halfway through an MCU movie. “….wait do I know you, am I supposed to know you? Do you have your own movie? I don‘t get this joke?!??” Its a humbling experience.

Here is my June #BookSpinBingo list all ready to go! I‘be been doing pretty good with my BSB lists this year, though I‘ve yet to clear the board. I have big plans for my #BigJuneReadathon goals, so I‘m hoping June will be the month! 🌼

Just woke up to multiple #NetGalley approval emails from Macmillan! I am having a mini freak out over Seasonal Fears! I can‘t wait to read it 🍁🍂🍃

It was a solid follow-up to Middlegame & even more enjoyable. The story is more linear, so it's easier to understand and the dynamics between the characters are (on some level) more relatable. Some chapters were longer than I'd have liked for a quick bedtime read, but even the long ones moved quickly so I never felt like I was reading long passages.

I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review.
