As the Jewish New Year begins tonight, I‘m taking the next few days to unplug from this current world ( I‘m looking at you, Coronavirus) and refocusing my energy and thoughts towards strengthening my spiritual health & happiness💕Sending love, joy and blessings your way, dear friends. May this new year be filled with good health, peace, serenity and freedom for all.

alisiakae @mjdowens I took the easy way out this year, and got ours from a local bakery! But homemade is the best! 7y

mjdowens I am from the Detroit area originally which has a very large Jewish community. I now live in Indianapolis and that is not the case here. I miss my community so much more on the High Holy days. Having to learn to cook these traditional dishes has been fun though 7y

quirkyreader @mjdowens Taylor's Bakery could make one in a pinch. Or try The Lawrence Baking Company. 7y

alisiakae @mjdowens this is the first year that we have had a local bakery that makes round challah, so I know the feeling! NC does not have a large Jewish community, either, and we moved here from NJ, which does. 7y
