American Woman was a free ARC with purchase, and the other three were in my grab bag from winning a Facebook mystery book contest. Not bad!

It seems somehow unreal that life goes on in Israel and the mail system continues to work smoothly.
I was completely surprised and deeply moved by this lovely gift of Cindy. I miss her a lot and I will use the #52BookClub24 Book Journal and read the new Rushdie and think of her and wishing for an end to the violence in Israel and Palestina ☮️ 💜
I finally finished a #authoramonth! This was a soft pick for me. Though Rushdie is one of my favorite contemporary writers, this was not my favorite. Masterfully written, just not for me.

I loved this and was very surprised it didn‘t get nominated for the Booker Prize.
It was my first Rushdie read and it has certainly inspired me to read more. (When I get time of course! 😝)

“She doesn‘t say in her book how long they rode, how many nights and days, or in what direction. So we cannot say for sure where the Forest of Women was located, or if some part of it stands there still.
#WondrousWednesday Everyone is tagged!
This is the plan. I‘m only sure about the Rushdie at this point.

Finished this wonderful book last night. Such fantastical storytelling by a master of his craft. These last words actually took my breath away.

#BookMail #BuyBuyBookDepository 📚Thought I‘d try the newest one from Salman Rushdie even though my track record with him is 0-3 😅
Unsurprisingly, Rushdie‘s new book is beautiful. A sweeping, imaginative epic. I couldn‘t put it down.
The premise of this sounded so intriguing to me, but I couldn‘t get into it at all. Back to the library it goes!
This proof just came in the mail. So excited to read it. It is so rare that I get ARC 's that it feels like Christmas.
