pickThis was a cute little graphic novel about a witch who moves into a new house but finds out that it's haunted. So she makes friends with the other witches in town and they all have problems they each need help with. So fun and I loved the drawing style. pickGenuinely heart-warming with a smidgen of creepy. Just spooky enough that I wouldn't recommend it for young readers. I love the messaging, the colouring and art style, particularly Planchette's pupils shape-shifting to reflect the situation. Invested in all the story threads that have been set up. Hope my library will get the next volume in the series soon after it comes out in October! 🤞🏻

Sad that I don't have Kitchen Witch skills. Had to make this PB&J by hand.

I'm a little mixed on how I feel about this one. It was definitely a fun, weird read with an intriguing art style. I kept going back and forth between loving the quirky art and disliking it. Overall, I enjoyed watching the character friendships develop. Sometimes it felt like the world building was a little weak.

pickI really enjoyed this whimsical, slice of life story about a lonely, young kitchen witch who accidentally moves into a rather haunted house which leads her to make new friends in town who can maybe help with the haunted house (I say maybe, as they all have their own things going on). Loved the muted colour palette - and all the different ways Haley Newsome draws pupils.
