Iced: Fever Series | 
so-soI didn‘t find that the author did much in the way of recap, or what she did do wasn‘t enough to really help me remember what was going on or who was who. The new storyline I found interesting. I thought I liked Dani as a secondary character in the other books, but I didn‘t like her much in this one. And all those horny men after a 14-year old!? Ugh! I am still rating it ok.
so-so10 years. I've been avoiding this book for 10 years. I finally ready it. I know why I didn't want to.
I didn't need a Dani story but this was better in that way than I thought. Her back story is heartbreaking and she still manages to stay completely innocent and positive. I love that for her. The full Hoarfrost storyline was great and I loved getting to know more about some of the characters. I'd love this book if not for two things:

I found this book to be a bit cringey. Dani is fourteen and has a ton of crushes on older men and wants to lose her virginity to them, but these older men find interest into her. I found this book to be meh and I didn‘t really care for what was happening. I prefer Mac to be the narrator. I‘ll still follow up with the last few books since I want to see how this series ends. I did like the action though.

pick10/10 sixth book in a series of 10. This whole series is exceedingly well written. Literally can't put it down, doesn't matter what time of day it is, you have to know what happens. Plenty of action and emotion, things move quickly but keep to the thread of the story. I was wrong! Next book brings Mac and Barrons back! Woohoo!
so-soThis wasn‘t my favorite in the series, but I still enjoyed it. The biggest draw for me was Mac‘s story and reading from her point of view. I don‘t especially love Dani as a character but I do like that a lot of other characters were developed more in this.
pickFinished book 8 of vacation right when it was time to leave! This hooked me and I couldn‘t put it down, as with the previous books. I missed Mac and Barrons but not as much as I thought I would. Although the Dani age thing is definitely weird and problematic.
Sitting down to finish my first book of 2018. This one has taken me a little longer than the rest of the series. I'm just not a fan of Dani.

pickThis wasn't my favorite, but it was great to get a new perspective on the world Moning built. I think my main frustrations were with the new narrator who is a child and narrates like a child, which is well written on Moning's part. I enjoyed seeing the new sides to previously secondary characters and I thought the plot developed well into this world!

pickWeirdness revolving around grown men chasing a 14 year old girl aside, I really like how Dani's character fleshed out and this kept my attention more than I expected even though it felt like a side adventure.
I feel a little awkward about all these grown-ass men obsessing about a future with a 14-year old girl... I can't be the only one.
