Hop on Pop
Hop on Pop | Seuss
27 posts | 97 read | 1 to read
Loved by generations, this simplest Seuss for youngest use is a Beginner Book classic. See Red and Ned and Ted and Ed in a bed. And giggle as Pat sits on a hat and on a cat and on a bat . . . but a cactus? Pat must NOT sit on that! This classic Beginner Book makes an ideal gift for Seuss fans and is an especially good way to show Pop some love on Fathers Day! Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.

“My father can read big words too. Like....Constantinople and Timbuktu!!” Hop on Pop is a fun P book by Theodore Geisel, a.k.a. the great Dr. Seuss! This book excites children to the max with it‘s fun illustrations, vocabulary, and most importantly the rhyming! I think this book would be great for an AS due to the fact that there are so many great Dr. Seuss books and lots of resources to find information! #ucflae3414

Emmaturtle3 This link: https://www.seussville.com/explore/ is home for all things Dr. Seuss! Students can most definitely use this resource to find tons of information about this author and all the books that he created. ESOL strategy #16 is used when students are integrating the reading and writing activity of an author study to this book. UDL 6.3 is used when students are researching and accessing information online. 4y
Mazzole18 Hop on Pop is a great story when building fluency and teaching student to learn to read. The rhyme and repetition make it fun and easy for students. It is also good for struggling readers to build confidence. Thanks for the resources to help incorporate the wonderful stories of Dr. Seuss in the classroom. 4y
DrSpalding Your website is home for all things Dr. Seuss and kids and adults love it! After providing an author study and many Soose read aloud‘s, you could have a literacy station using the website, in your classroom. 4y

Hop on Pop by Dr Seuss is a fun book for kids of all ages to read. I have read this book to toddlers and they love it so much they are starting to learn the words of it themselves. This book is perfect to have for kids to enjoy and listen to rhymes throughout the whole book.

“Hop on Pop” was written by Dr. Seuss in 1963. This is another childhood favorite and provides enjoyable poetry about two children who hop on their dads stomach! I definitely recommend this story!

My husband the #bookstagrammer, part 3. I feel like his other work was better, but I like the sales alliteration in the last line. 😂

#Gratitude30 Day 16: Published in the 60s, endpapers may have been perceived as a #novelty – not really part of the picturebook anatomy just yet. Yet as one turns the first pages of the book, one could see this full-page-spread that must be the forerunner of what we now call endpapers in picturebooks. As you can see above – the words are fairly simple enough to build an early reader‘s confidence. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-8Xz
