Ah, the first of many Jessica Wakefield mistakes! When Elizabeth‘s favorite author comes to visit the 2nd grade class, all the students want the honor of being her special assistant. When Jessica finds what she thinks is a cast off story of Elizabeth‘s, she copies it over as her own! Of course, she realizes her mistake, and it‘s the first public recognition Elizabeth receives for her writing! Another fun installment!

My Sweet Valley reading project continues with this cute one where for an unspecified school break, the second-grade twins get to take home Tinkerbell, the class hamster. Elizabeth is delighted but squeamish Jessica wants nothing to do with the rodent! Cute & fun, a class hamster sounds better than my 2nd grade class that shared a teddy bear named Cuddles—are classes even allowed to share anything like this anymore? Or does this date the series?

Thanks, @Kar2b for my first birthday card! As a gift to myself, I‘ve decided to dive into nostalgia and re-read the entire Sweet Valley series! The last time I decided to do this, I fell off at 31 in the SVK series, so hopefully this time I make it through more— especially since I‘ve been collecting the ones that I didn‘t have so I am in for some new reads too! This seventh birthday is fun—& the chocolate cake with marshmallow icing sounds yummy!

I always enjoy reliving my high school years with Sweet Valley High.

All the troubles that seemed so important then are so well captured in this story.

Quick paced, satisfying ending to the miniseries-within-a-series! I definitely figured out who is was going to be (back in book 2, actually!) but it was fun to watch it play out. Time to leave London & head back to Sweet Valley!

5✨ Todd gets a motorcycle that he has always been wanting, and the Wakefields loss someone to cause Liz pause in riding with him. They look at the pros and cons of riding a bike. As a person who almost lost her husband to a careless driver and lost a father-in-law I felt very deeply in this book. The ending is not what anyone wanted to hear, but it can happen and caution should always be used. #SeriesLove

Jessica Wakefield can always be relied upon to stir up trouble and Elizabeth is never quite able to get the better of her twin.
