So much fun! Don‘t want to say too much because I read this with #LittensLoveRomance, but I did not guess the twist.

I think the tag line sums this up nicely "The terrifying true story of the origins of the ebola virus."
Seriously this book has some disturbing revelations also as a warning Preston like to compare things to food. So don't eat while reading ?

This was more than I thought it was. I really enjoyed it. It really amazed me how things were in the 60s. Yes, still some of the same stuff happens these days, but it‘s crazy to think about. I really liked Elizabeth Zott. All the characters were enjoyable.

I had expected this to be a thriller, but I would probably describe this more as a slowburn mystery. Its a quiet book very atmospheric and the first audio book to actually make me ugly cry. While most of the book seems calm, and characters are pretty soft, there is just an air of tension that runs through it. Everything seems alright, but something is about to go down. ⬇️
Loved this story of a bunch of friends, who because of a car crash become stuck in limbo. They decide to use the time to solve the mystery of their late friends death while they also have to choose which one of them will survive.

I‘ve read some amazing nonfiction this year, and Klosterman‘s cultural critique of the 90s is 💯 up there near the top.
He draws seemingly disparate parts together into 12 thoughtful essays. From the politics and news to sports, TV, music, and films, he completely captures the flavor of the 90s. As a young Gen Xer, I remember the 90s, but his old Gen X perspective brought out a lot I didn‘t quite capture/understand. Highly recommend!
Second book is more scary and creepy with all the reptiles & murder 😖😰But I like the team spirit of the kids. Tough gets going 💪

I‘ve got to #ThankLitsy (#LitsyAwards ?) for bringing this book to my attention. This is such a worthwhile listen because as crazy awful as these stories are, they are real and they are happening now. The authors have a way of telling these stories that convey their seriousness but also the humor (in a “if you can‘t laugh you‘ll cry” way) also, Amber is very funny as a rule. Loved the audio, but grabbed the print for pictures/evidence!
The last MG graphic novel for #LMPC Group A was fabulous! Very experiential. No page numbers or right angled panels… I found this to be a slow read, but a completely immersive one. The art and text blended surprisingly well, and I could feel myself there with the characters and see everything they were doing around me. For me this was a 5 ⭐️ read even though I found the storyline fun but not remarkable, just because the characters were so bright.
