Reading very much like a work of Fiction, this brutal account of the Clutter Murders is bone chilling.
Not only is Capote a masterful writer, but his dedication to obtaining all the information needed for this recounting amazes me - especially taking into account the when. No quick Google searches to check facts, or see photos of places. Just feet on the ground investigation.

I still think my favorite book is Elena Knows but this one was a great story. A thriller involving a triangle relationship. Only 162 pages and it was amazing of how many twists it has. Unlikable characters but so well described. I really like Claudia‘s writing style, how she develops these characters. However, there were some actions in our main character that I found unrealistic or too convenient⬇️

pickI loved this book so much. There is not much dialogue. Pure action and integrity in the hearts of two young boys of Shoshone heritage. I loved the loose magical realism with the telepathy of the natives. The trickery and the development of the two separate personalities were just simply delightful. The time with the Roma. I could go on and on. My only wish is I want to read it in it's original language. #LitsyAtoZ @Texreader

panAt first I thought, cool a brother and sister duo hunting ghosts - a bit of a Supernatural vibe.
I truly tried to like this.
The main issue was I did not like Harper at all, she's whiny, self-scented and so needy.
The other thing is the story felt forced, and abnormal. Focusing on unnecessary details, while leaving important issues behind for no real reason other than to prolong the book.
At least it's off my shelf now. #donation
