Did I really never go back to review this #OokBOokClub pick from the beginning of November? Sigh. Pratchett‘s satire of Hollywood was fun, but fell a little short for me. I wanted a bit more all around—less of the jokey poking fun (lots of his stereotype-based humor fell flat for me) and more biting satire, more depth of character development, more exploration ofthe deeper themes that were only hinted at ⤵️

TheAromaofBooks @BookishMadHatter - I feel that!! For the last couple of years I've used a quad-lined composition book. Because it's sewn, I can add lots of washi tape and other pieces of paper taped in and it just gets fatter without falling apart 😂 All my ongoing, year-long challenges are in the front. Then I skip to the second half of the notebook and create my monthly #BookSpinBingo lists as I go along, plus any short-term readathons or challenges. 2w

TheAromaofBooks @Gissy - It's all about finding a system that works for you!!! I loooooove tracking things 😂 So I use a spreadsheet plus my notebook!!! I also get these really inexpensive book logs from Amazon that I love because it means every book I read ends up with a reference number. At the same time that William de Worde & his crew of dwarves invent the 1st newspaper on the Disc, Lord Vetinari gets imprisoned for attempted murder.

Every time I read this 1, it goes up on my list of faves. This satirical look at both newspapers, what the truth is, & who gets to tell it remains alarmingly relevant, & William‘s confrontation w/ his father was amazing. I would have loved more of the dwarves! & Otto!🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
