⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoyed this book and I think it deserves its 2019 accolades. It was a heartwarming story with smart writing and it tackled some tough issues. It was less light-hearted and fluffy than I thought it would be. Spent all day yesterday on a bookstore crawl doing a photo scavenger hunt for #indiebookstoreday (feel free to check out my Instagram for all the fun)
One of the bookstores had a #blinddatewithabook display - and this one called to me. Will post the book inside the wrapping (as well as the rest of my #bookhaul) later today. In the meantime, any guesses on this mystery book? 😃

After attending the inaugural #litsyatxreaderssociety meetup (so awesome to meet fellow #atx littens! So many good book recommendations!) at the Central Library - I had to pillage the new graphic novel shelves. I may have gone slightly overboard. Ended the book festival with Dr. Tinsley talking about her book (that was partially modeled after her UT course) about Beyoncé and black feminism. I don‘t think her book is out yet, but I‘ll be keeping an eye out for it.

First book in the new house! Whew! We made it to Austin. I‘m sitting on a blanket on the floor waiting for the Mr to get up so we can start unloading the truck. It‘s not even 7 am and I can‘t wait to go to bed tonight 😂😅😴. Also can‘t wait to open my book boxes and pull out my physical copy of this baby! Kindle is nice, paper is nicer!
