Bookwormjillk @dabbe I hope you feel better soon. Son says the test was too hard I say he didn‘t study enough but that‘s just between us😂 He‘ll be fine. Most of the schools he‘s applying to are test optional so I‘m not sure why he suddenly wants a higher SAT score. 6d

peaKnit @kspenmoll it‘s fall in the morning, summer in the afternoon in WI too. Brrr. I‘m headed off for a shift at the library. I overslept taking my college kiddo to a volunteer gig because my alarm was on silent (how does that happen?!) - my husband let me sleep. Folks, I never sleep, this is a miracle. 🌟 1mo

Librarybelle I love the cool mornings (I‘m not a warm/hot weather person)! The weekend will fly by—I have a billion things to do but will most likely sit down and fall asleep. 😂 Have a good weekend everyone! 1mo

quietlycuriouskate I'm meant to be on the Welsh coast now but because of Storm Amy we're not travelling until tomorrow 😒. On the plus side, multiple last-minute changes of plan have not triggered a meltdown so, given the circumstances, I'm actually feeling surprisingly buoyant. 1mo

dabbe Our Pippa had an epileptic episode this morning, so we're laying low with her. She's doing fine now, but we'll be staying close and keeping an eye on her. Of course that means lots of cuddles and book reading. Have a lovely weekend, everyone! 🧡💜💛 1mo

Librarybelle I‘m going to the library later today too, @AllDebooks ! Next week starts my temp work at the library of my undergrad days, so lots to do to prep not being home all the time. I also realized I never posted about October‘s #LiteraryCrew book, need to finish the Agatha Christie for discussion tomorrow, and finalize the #192030 to post on Storygraph on Wednesday. Whew! I‘m going to be busy this weekend. 😂 2mo

I'm spending the day planning out for #TLS 🫂 planning my new kitchen, scoffing the chocolate banana bread that my son just baked, and getting lost in Hell.

Eggbeater I had a stressful day yesterday, and I am using this weekend to recover. No news, take-out, PBS, books, online book club, and snuggling with my dog. If I happen to get some chores done, that would be a bonus, but I'm not pressuring myself. 3mo

Librarybelle I think I can finally rest for the rest of the weekend! I still have minor chores to do, and always lots of kitty things to do, but I don‘t have to rush. What a week! Though, once I sit down, I may fall asleep. 😂 3mo

Librarybelle Good morning! It‘s been a crazy week—I started a WFH temp job to help pay for Zeke‘s medical bills, and it‘s been crazy. I like the flexibility to work whenever, but the work is not always available, despite a requirement to work a certain number of hours per week. I need flexibility with Zeke‘s care, so I‘ll see how long I can handle this. 😂 It has really cut back on my reduced reading time. Hopefully I can get a good rhythm soon. 3mo

Roary47 I‘m going to try to take back my house in cleaning. Finding my work life balance is always hard for me. I have forms to complete for my kids school, I have work still to do for my job, but today is audiobooks that my library holds are almost up on and cleaning my house that got out of control through the work/school week. 😅 3mo

melissajayne Had friends over on Thursday evening and I was just so drained yesterday. Did basically nothing. I just sat in my chair and watched stuff on my TV and listened to podcasts. Had a good sleep that I just woke up from and feel surprisingly rested and content. 3mo

dabbe I can't believe how jet-lagged I still am from my trip (4 hours ahead in NB). Add to that, I need to relearn how to handle the heat. Since I've been home it's been 113, 115, 118, and 115. The dogs are grumpy because it's too hot to even walk outside. So, I need to stop bitching and find the good. I have a home with AC and pups who love me. What more do I need? 💙🩵💙 3mo

Librarybelle Thanks, @dabbe and @Deblovestoread ! Zeke is doing very well. He had a really rough patch a couple of weeks ago but has really bounced back. He also stopped eating the one food he had been eating but wanted a novel protein food he ate before his diagnosis, and he is so improved on this, acting mischievous at times. He still likes eating during the night, though, so I‘d love some restful sleep at some point! But, I‘d rather this than not have him. 3mo
