#BookedInTime #BookedInTimeDecember2025

“La Belle Époque translates to "the beautiful era," a period of French and European history from roughly 1871 to 1914, defined by optimism, peace, and prosperity, though not without its own social and political tensions. It was a time of cultural, scientific, and technological advancements, including the development of Impressionism, and the construction of the Eiffel Tower. What are you reading?

November 2025 New York Gilded Age
I knew very little about this topic. The history of electricity, the battle between AC and DC. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend checking it out.

Cuilin Sounds fabulous!!! ✅🎉 Love this post pic. (edited) 1d

#WeeklyForecast is "Too many books, too little time"

Tagged needs to go back to the library soon so have started it, I am 30 pages in and unsure.

Private Revolutions is a Women's Prize long list and I am still in Nonfiction November so going to get through that. Time and Again doubles and both a #10BeforeTheEnd and #BookedInTime read.

We will see how the US holiday week goes!

Ruthiella I usually think I‘m going to read more than I actually do on these long weekends! 😂 5d
sarahbarnes Too many books too little time is the story of my week too 😆 5d
willaful That's always the weather around here! 5d
BarbaraBB A lot of books 😉 5d

Interesting history of not only the family, but also, the Gilded Age, and NYC. It helped me make better sense of 'The Swans of Fifth Avenue' by Melanie Benjamin.

Up next for #BookedInTime #BookedInTimeNovember2025 . It's set a little outside the guilded age years but I think 1905 is considered guilded age still to some - close enough anyways. I've heard good things about this book and even the librarian commented on it when I checked it out so looking forward to this read! Hoping to start it later this evening.

Very repetitive and slow, but the early medieval history was interesting.
