Ok Littens, I need your help!

I am so sick and tired of everything I cook that I can't even stand walking into the grocery store anymore. Soooo I thought I would look at some cookbooks for new ideas and....I don't own a single one 😱

I'm lost and have no idea what to buy so hit me up with your favourite cookbooks!!!

#domesticissues #ihatecooking #helpalittenout

Palimpsest I like any Ina Garten books and a good basic one like Better Homes and Gardens. There are so many wonderful cookbooks to choose from, vegetarian to world cuisine the selection is better than ever. Bon appétit. 4y

FantasyChick Ooooh! Thank you @Palimpsest Going to look these up now! 4y
alisiakae And the Smitten Kitchen blog in general smittenkitchen.com 4y
FantasyChick @4thhouseontheleft You are a lifesaver! Checking all these out 😊😊 4y
RainyDayReading My go to cookbooks tend to be any of the Fix It and Forget It books or Taste of Home. Made recipes out of each and they were delicious. 4y
umbrellagirl Jamie Oliver. The one where he uses just five ingredients. 4y
runswithscissors007 Smitten kitchen! 4y
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego @Mitch I feel like you would have some good recommendations. 4y
faelinwolf This isn't a cookbook recommendation, but I always borrow cookbooks from the library & copy the recipes that look good & seem within my skill range. I've gone & just perused the cooking section & checked out whatever caught my attention! 4y
Palimpsest I agree with @faelinwolf we often take cookbooks out of the library and then if we love them will purchase them or just try some new recipes. Also, @Tamra posts from some awesome cookbooks. 4y
Bookwormjillk Are a few of my favorites 4y
FantasyChick @faelinwolf @Palimpsest I think that's my plan! There's a lot of great options so I'm going to head to the library tomorrow and test some out first. I'm also cheap so.....😂😂 4y
TheAromaofBooks So glad you posted this question @FantasyChick because I also frequently get stuck on the “what should we eat“ question... it seems like at my age I should be able to cook more than like eight different meals! Now I have several cookbooks to try!! 4y

My “This is only 50 cents at the book sale so I can‘t pass it up” pile is outta hand. Any I must read? Any to skip? #helpaLittenout

Bronte_Chintz I‘d be interested to hear about the secret life of bees, I‘ve heard great things! 🐝 6y
Caroline2 The Kevin book is really good! 👍🏻 but very dark! 😟 6y
Insightsintobooks My sister's keeper and The Secret Life of Bee's are both good. 6y

RealLifeReading Oh definitely read the Sarah Waters! 6y
Billypar I personally loved Glamorama, but it's a risky pick if you're not already a fan of the author- a love it or hate it kind of thing. I would read a random paragraph or two. 6y
Blaire We need to talk about Kevin and hum if you don‘t know the words are both good. 6y
Jabberwocky These are all so good! And a Sarah Waters!! 6y
PirateJenny Black Hills is sooo good!!!! 6y
BookishTrish @Jabberwocky Have you read the Waters? I can send it your way when I‘m done if you like. #seatosea 6y
Jabberwocky @BookishTrish I have it! It‘s somewhere in my tbr stacks 🙃 6y
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego Loved The Secret Life of Bees 🐝 and Papillon 🦋 6y
Lcsmcat Secret Life of Bees is one you should read. It‘s very good. 6y
BookishTrish @Caroline2 @Blaire Kevin is a reread; last time I had to do it in one go because it was so dark and intense 6y
BookishTrish @Billypar I ❤️ BEE 6y
BookishTrish @PirateJenny Thanks for sharing - I was leaning toward re-donating that one because it‘s so huge, but I‘ll hang onto it. 6y
BookishTrish @RealLifeReading Good to know. I liked 6y
Conservio I like my Sister‘s Keeper. 6y
CouronneDhiver Read about Kevin... that‘s a good (creepy) one! 6y
Billypar I think Glamorama is almost as good as American Psycho, on par with Rules of Attraction and Lunar Park (all 4, my favorites from BEE). If you picked it up, hope you enjoy! 6y
whatsjennareading Tipping the Velvet is great! 6y

Would you guys help me out? I‘d like to list www.TheBibliophage.com in some blogger directories. But they ask for more subscribers than I have.

So we made bookmarks as a thank you for anyone who subscribes to my updates. I‘d love to trade you a bookmark for a subscription. All the details are on the blog. Thank you! xoxo

ReadingEnvy Done. Another thing you might consider is updating your about page because it reads as if it is from the start of 2017 (you are discussing best reads from 2016) and if you have people new to your blog screening it for inclusion they may see that and think you haven't updated since theb 6y
ReadingEnvy (which you clearly have! Love your reviews and blog!) 6y

@WarpedSweetness unfortunately needs to find a new home for these fur babies after finding out her little guy is allergic. She is in Idaho. If it‘s possible to keep the 3 together that would be best. If you or someone you know can take all 3 let her know.

Normally I would ever ask as I have a strict "book first, movie maybe" rule but my TBR is crazy and I'm not sure if I will ever get around to this one voluntarily. Should I watch it or read it? Thoughts? #helpalittenout

Bookzombie This is why there are so many movies I haven't seen. Lol. I see the trailer and think I want to read it first. Books sits on my TBR and movie is never seen. 🤓 7y
Hooked_on_books I've never seen the movie, but the book is worth it. I thought it was terrific. 7y
KVanRead Haven't read...the movie was meh for me, but books are usually better IMO 7y
See All 7 Comments
Caroline2 I haven't seen the film yet but I've read the book! It's is a bit meh! The final twist/end felt a bit unreal and too convenient for me! 7y
cajunsyd I always go for the book first! 7y
BookHermit @Bookzombie Yep, same problem! @Hooked_on_books Good to know! My book club read it just before I joined and they keep mentioning it 😩@kvanread Started the movie then decided I would much rather know what the characters are thinking than observe how they're feeling @Caroline2 The reviews are certainly mixed @cajunsyd Me too! But sometimes I just want to make room on my impossible TBR. Ended up watch three episodes of 7y
KVanRead @Caroline2 Agree! Also found it kind of pointlessly depressing. 7y
