This was a re-read for me, and it is one of the ones I like more from the sequels to Green Gables. WWI is here and the impacts on PEI are felt by all. Sad and hopeful all at the same time.

A sweet, magical YA graphic novel, that's mainly plot focused but also includes themes of disability (Nova is hard-of-hearing) and queer identity.

so-soI'm starting to think that writers of fiction are even more prescient than I realized. This isn't a great Christie novel. It's her attempt at dystopian fiction, and it's disjointed, melodramatic, and weird, but there are some really interesting observations and commentary. It's got a bit of overlap with themes from A Clockwork Orange and Brave New World, but she never leans into those in a compelling way. Still, it's an interesting departure.
pickI really enjoyed this because it wasn't serious. It was a fantasy comedy which seems to be a genre I really like. Quick and easy read.
It's not accurate alt-history or historical fantasy. It often felt more Victorian period than Tudor.
Witness statements, clues and “photographs“ are laid out for us to solve a baffling 1930s murder... if only I cared. I probably wasn't the audience for this. The mixed media format is fun and it definitely has amusing moments, but much of it seemed dull to me and just made me want to be reading a Christie or Heyer mystery instead of this homage.

bailedA little too repetitive and a little too surface-level in the character relationships for my taste (at least within the first 65 pages). An interesting and important part of recent history to write about, just not the right style for me. Plus, it's due back at the library, and I can't place more holds until I return it.

pickI loved this! A great introduction to Faerun written as a factual travelogue/guide book
It had a lot of good, basic information that you might need to be aware of if running a campaign in Faerun. I will definitely re-read this

This is a charmer of a picture book, with such cute and expressive illustrations. (The picture above is a rare darker moment.) Aggie and her unexpected ghost housemate have an adversarial relationship at first, but manage to work things out in a way that suits them both. Mostly.
