I like volume 2 even more than volume 1! We get a deeper look into the family personalities and discover a second secret ally. Had the opportunity to read this as a selector for a local book award. It's cute, very sexy, and fun, so if you're looking for a corny, playful holiday romance this might be a good one. It didn't make the final selection because a few things were a bit weak, mainly the development of the town and the premise of the town pouring its money into a competition with no actual reward but pride (not even increased tourism?). #ColoradoAuthor #LGBTQIA

Not my usual sort of book, but I got to read it as a selector for a local book award. A charming and sexy ranch-adjacent Hallmark-esque second-chance romance with sweet characters and a woman being siren songed away from her career by the prospect of a hottie in her home town. There is a lot in this book that the author still needs to develop. I Bailed when we got to Mac Truck.

One way local decision makers determine library funding is by what percent of the community has a library card. Getting a card even if you don‘t use it often is a good way to support your library!

Celebrate #NationalLibraryWeek with these actions you can take this week to support your local library! I‘ll be posting these throughout the week, plus three bonus ideas to keep you in the library spirit even after National Library Week ends.

Ruthiella I have three library cards! Two county and one city library. 📚❤️ 5mo
coffees I have one but can't use it bc I have fines on it (again) *sigh* lol 5mo
Kenyazero @Ruthiella nice! I have cards to multiple libraries as well since my state lets residents get a card at most libraries. 5mo

Kenyazero @coffees 😱 our library is fine-free or I‘d probably be in the same boat. If I don‘t return a book that‘s a month or more late I get a replacement fee, but it gets waved when I bring the book back. 5mo
PuddleJumper I've got 3. One of the towns I work in is a different county to the one I live in so I can access both county libraries. Third one is for a private subscription library which I forget about 😅 5mo
coffees @Kenyazero yeah I've heard "a lot" of libraries don't have fees anymore and I'm like where where are they lol 5mo
Kenyazero @coffees they‘re all near me, I guess 🤭 5mo
Kenyazero @PuddleJumper that‘s so fun! What kind of subscription library? I‘ve never been to one but I know they exist. 5mo
PuddleJumper @Kenyazero It's basically a private library that you pay to join/use. They put on loads of historical and literary talks with authors and academics and you can go and sit in the garden with free tea and coffee. It was started in 1816 I think. Before libraries were a thing. Members joined, paid an annual fee which went to purchasing more books and letting the library grow. 5mo
Kenyazero @PuddleJumper that‘s cool that these still exist! I knew subscription fees used to be how most or all libraries got funding before it switched to tax-funded (which is kind of like a subscription but with more people!) 5mo
PuddleJumper @Kenyazero Yeah, it's a bit of an oddity. Still functioning and getting in new books etc. It's funny because they buy books based on what the members want so it's basically a crime library now 😂 5mo
coffees @Kenyazero *moves to your neighborhood* 😆 5mo

When was the last time you visited a library? Simply visiting your library helps boost their usage stats to show local decision makers the impact they have on the community.

Blueberry I was there today 😄 5mo
coffees I stopped going to my local one bc they asked us to sign in using personal info, 😕 but I went to a neighboring one more regularly after that xD 5mo

Kenyazero @coffees that‘s a bummer, I wonder why your library started doing that! 🤕 good thing you have a neighborhood library to enjoy instead! 5mo
PuddleJumper I went last week 😂 I try and go at least twice a month, more if I've finished my books. Helps me get some exercise too because I walk there and back 5mo
Kenyazero @PuddleJumper that‘s so fun! 🤩 a walkable library is the best! 5mo
