Found myself with unexpected alone time at a bachelorette party in the Catskills, so I snuck in some reading. Really into this one so far.

Go to happy hour with a friend, leave with a new book. Not a bad start to the weekend! Thanks @BookishKateNYC !
I adored this book. It‘s a must-read if you loved Beartown.
Reading Fredrik Backman with a view of scenic Tuscany is absolute perfection.
Finished this in our cute little Air BnB in Rome! Now, the question is: will I be able to sleep tonight after reading this creepy story? Answer: probably yes, because of jet lag. 😂
This book is HYSTERICAL. If you‘ve ever been on a group email about planning anything you must read this. You‘ll thank me later.
It was a nice surprise to come home to this #bookmail (that I won here on Litsy)! Thanks @WilliamMorrowBooks and @Tav ! I can‘t wait to join in on the #BeatrizBinge after all the rave review I‘ve seen all over the internet recently. This will be my first foray into Willams‘ work.
The signature cocktail at Jessica Knoll‘s book launch for The Favorite Sister was called “The Favorite Sipper” and it was DELICIOUS. Can‘t wait to dig into this book!
Have you ever finished a book in a public location and felt like crying because it was over? That was me this morning in the nail salon after finishing the last book in Elena Ferrante‘s Neapolitan Series. I maintained my composure but boy, am I sad.
This morning I biked 41 miles in the 5 Boro Bike Tour in NYC because I sort of had to for work (see some snaps on Dr. Oz‘s instagram (@dr_oz)) but I had a lot of fun! My legs feel like jelly so I‘ve retired to the couch to read this beautiful novel. I‘m sad for this series to end and really, really hope HBO does the book‘s justice.
Relaxing Sunday morning with one of my best friend‘s books! I was lucky enough to read the first draft and am so excited to dig in to a galley! I‘m so proud of Melanie. Everyone should add this to their TBR (it comes out Aug. 7)!
Evening cuddle buddies. If you‘re a fan of Meg Wolitzer, you‘ll definitely enjoy The Female Persuasion. Can‘t wait to see what everyone in book club thinks about it — currently resisting the urge to text my friends so that we can save the discussion for when we‘re consuming wine and cheese!
I just interviewed Tyra and her mom and they used this as a prop in the video and then she gave it to me! She is gorgeous and wonderful.
After attending five college basketball games in the last three days (ACC Tournament with my dad) this view is a nice change of scenery.
One of best friends‘ book came out today and I‘m so damn proud!! “A Girl‘s Guide to Joining the Resistance” is a down and dirty guide for women of all ages to roll up their sleeves and resist the forces that are a threat to our rights. #ResistLikeAGirl & get your copy here: amzn.to/2HKxpda
My local bookstore, Books Are Magic, is throwing some serious book cover shade. 😂
I ADORED The Wishing Spell. Chris Colfer created a vibrant imaginary world that I can‘t to revisit in book #2. I wish I knew middle grade-aged kids to recommend this to, but I don‘t, so....I‘m spreading the world here!
This book. Wow. I must admit that there were times when didn‘t think I could keep reading, not for the quality of the story, but for the content. I‘m glad I pushed through, though, because this will stick with me for a long, long time.
My year in review according to Goodreads. Fave reads of 2017 include Pachinko, The Hate U Give, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and Commonwealth...to name just a few. Currently reading The Underground Railroad, but that‘ll end up on the 2018 list.
ROC>NYC: 8-hour train ride, let‘s do this!
Earlier this week I posted about trying to read a ton of books this week to hand over to my sister while we‘re both home for the holidays. This is book three of four. I‘m a little over halfway done and I just love John Green. I wish his stuff was around when I was in high school. Here‘s to hoping I can finish this book by tomorrow night! 🤞🏻
That weird feeling when the protagonist of your book lives a mere 3 blocks away...
My sister and I live in different states, so we decided to swap books on each other‘s Goodreads TBR lists while home for Christmas. I packed four to give her and my goal was to read them before I leave on 12/23 (celebrating Christmas early this year), but I‘m quickly learning this might be a big challenge. Marlena is only book two, so the pressure is on! 😰
I work for a TV show so we have the two weeks around Christmas off (pretty customary in the talk show biz). I‘m heading home to visit my family and these are my early morning train essentials. (Swimming Lessons courtesy of @BookishKateNYC and her “I‘m moving soon” book purge!)
I know there are mixed reviews for this book on here, but I LOVED it. In the chaos that it is everyday life, it was so nice to escape into the magical world of the Owens family. Adding Practical Magic to my TBR ASAP!
(It‘s late and I‘m too tired to think of a cute spot in which to stage my book, so I made my dog pose with it 😂)
#BoTM mail! Really looking forward to cracking these two open!
I went to the library on this snowy morning to return a book and stumbled upon a book sale. Got these four for $5, even though I don‘t really NEED them.
This just happened.
Let‘s be real, I gave my mom this @strandbookstore mug for her birthday so I could steal it on trips home. 😀
What I‘m reading during my Thanksgiving travels. #bookclub #airportreads
It‘s been one of those days where a book and a glass of wine are more than necessary. Now, if only I could stay awake long enough to finish Manhattan Beach... #botm
Guys! I did it! I reached my Goodreads challenge goal...and in October, to boot! I wish I had read ON WRITING earlier in life because Stephen King is a delight with valuable writing advance. I know I‘ll come back to this one for advice and inspiration. I‘ve read THE SHINING and SALEM‘S LOT. What King book should I read next?
Couldn‘t put this one down and can‘t wait to discuss it over wine and cheese with my book club! #botm
Thankful for this book light that helped me power through this thriller. Did NOT see that twist coming at the end! #botm
Beautiful cover. Awful book. I only finished it because it's for my book club.
Flew through this fun read. Although I read this on the subway, it would've been perfect for the beach.
Real talk, are any readers more passionate than teens? Loved seeing these girls ask (my talented friend) Laura Stampler and Romina Russell questions and approach the signing table with STACKS of books (some flagged with TONS of multi-colored Post It notes).
Very predictable, but an easy, enjoyable read.
A large cold brew and Neil Gaiman were necessary this morning given all that's going on in our country.
That extremely aesthetically pleasing moment when you discover that your new 💅🏻 matches the jacket of the 📚 you're reading perfectly.
