pickI almost started counting the times Tricia said Ethan wouldn‘t like that or that they‘ve known each other barely a year. It was so repetitive and annoying. All the gaslighting between Ethan gaslighting Tricia and Tricia gaslighting herself, ugh. But I love an unreliable narrator, and oh yeah this one is good. Book #24 in 2025
Start reading this book and January 31. I am almost done and I can‘t wait to finish it so I can start on another one.
I‘m pretty much almost done with this book. It‘s really good. I love a good thriller and mystery.

pickA fun twisty thriller with quite the twist. McFadden is not a great author, but she does write easy to read popcorn thrillers with fun twists. 4⭐️
Pulled out the old kindle … I have so many books in my online library….. not my favorite reading style, much prefer actual books but a change is nice.
Okay, fine, I accept that I couldn't guess a McFadden twist if my life DEPENDED on it. They're too wild!! I'm always shocked and laughing by the end of her books. They're so out there... and I love them!
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you‘re going into thrillers expecting literary perfection, you‘re in the wrong genre, honey. Is it perfect? Of course not, but when I tear quickly through a story, consider its palate-cleaning purpose served. McFadden is pretty reliable for a rapid read. I had fun trying to figure this one out. #kindleunlimited
pickWhile this was still plenty twisty I didn‘t enjoy it quite as much as The Boyfriend. The main couple were annoying for much of the book - the guy was a gaslighter and the girl acted pretty dumb. The last 1/3 was much better and saved it overall for me. This author definitely knows how to shock!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
pickThis one got me! I thought I had it figured out but no, Freida never makes it that easy. A few twists and always a satisfying ending…Frieda does it again 😊

pickTricia and Ethan head out to see a showing for their potential forever home. What happens when stuck inside after a snowstorm strands them is anything but shocking. The twists and turns made me need to find out what was happening! I annotated this book in the beginning with my thoughts and boy I was off base! Good quick thriller about lies and deceit and the consequences. Characters did not have much growth and Tricia annoyed me but good read!

pickI absolutely loved this book! There‘s so much I could say but I wouldn‘t want to spoil it for anyone. I was hooked from the beginning and thought the killer was pretty obvious but I was so wrong! As usual, Freida put her brilliant spin on it!

pickSuspenseful, mysterious, and a complete page-turner. I could not put this book down. It had me on the edge of my seat, turning page after page to find out what happens next. The ending? I was not prepared!
I just started this book. I like it. It‘s really good. It‘s my first time reading anything by this author. I‘ve only heard good things about her books. I want to see what the hype is about. This book isn‘t on my #bookspinbingo list but I can add it to a Free Space spot on my bingo board.

pickMy first time reading Frieda McFadden.
This was good! Very binge-able. A few things irked me (Adrienne is really stupid for an MD/PhD) the twists got CRAZY but it all worked.

You knew something was weird from the first page - there was such an eeriness to it. Definitely not a wake up in the middle of the night and try to read a book to pass the time until you fall asleep book.

pickThought I had this one partially figured out really early on, but it seems I got ahead of myself. Way ahead of myself. 😆 Truly, I started to think this was going to be just a meh read and not as good as her others, yet I'm here to say I was wrong. So wrong. 😝
pickThe first I got this book from the library, I didn't finish it. I kept falling asleep. I guess it wasn't meant for me to read it then. I gave it another try, and oh boy, am I glad I did. It was amazing. You may think you know what is happening, but you are so WRONG!

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️ Freida read # 2📚while I enjoyed The Teacher slightly more, I have to admit this twist WAS a surprise. Another quick read. I thought for a moment that there must be something wrong bc the plot seemed painfully obvious but the end really did shock me! 😃 it‘s been a minute since a “lifetimey” thriller made me say wait whaaaaa???
Well, this one didn‘t disappoint. The second book by Freida McFadden I‘ve read and the second one I didn‘t like. ⭐️⭐️/5 only because it might have been less ridiculous with better editing, maybe? Am I the only one who thinks this?
