I wished for more emotion and character depth. Things were just too convenient for the plot. I will forever love the first book in this series.

Inspo board for #mws #modernwitchswap !! It took me a while to organize it. Morgan Le Fey - PSLs - wolfdogs- Persephone - cemetery art - altar to Nehallenia- chocolate pumpkin bake - my oldest & most fave tarot deck (Arthurian legend) - a cabin in the woods - potted lavender - Basic Witch
I love this series so much!! This book was an incredible addition! It has everything from steamy scenes to laugh out loud moments while still teaching you to embrace the changes the future holds for you. Absolutely loved this one!

4/5
Another super fun book in this series. When work finally pushes Lulu to her limit, she quits and throws her phone into a tub full of water. Clearly in need of a break, she joins friends on her cousin, the Dueling Kilts, on their Ren Faire tour for a few weeks.
This was a little more focused on Lulu's journey than on the romance with Dex, and I wish we'd gotten more about Dex's journey and growth, but it was still a fun read within the series
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It is always fun getting back to DeLuca‘s Renaissance Faire settings!
This one did take me a while to get into, and as with all the others in this series, I wish DeLuca would include the other character‘s POV. This one especially would have benefited from that.
Even with the slow start & lack of multiple POVs, by the end, I loved this one, so still 4 stars from me! And I look forward to the next one.
My phone rang for the fourth time that morning before I was through the gates of the Renaissance Faire.

This is the 4th book in the fun, romantic series set at Ren Faires. I still like the 1st best, followed by the 3rd. The MCs are Lulu, a lawyer, & Dex, the musician who usually sleeps around the Ren Faire circuit. Not that much depth or tension in this one, & the conflict that keeps them apart was not that difficult to fix. Had some interesting info about Tarot cards. 3-ish⭐️
So good! I loved this series following found family and friends that move in and around the Renaissance faire circuit. The nods to Shakespeare are delightful and the characters sweet and salty. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
I read all but 18 pages yesterday; I just didn‘t want to put it down for anything! I love this series, and this is my second favorite. I worried it would rehash Mitch‘s story, but it didn‘t. Dex‘s transition from Ren Faire Lothario to credible romantic lead worked so well. This is also one of the most believable conflicts I‘ve ever found in a romance. Loved it all. #52Books #epilogue or #aboutsiblings
Dealing with the public…yeah. Peopling is exhausting.
I‘m enjoying this visit to the Ren Faire MUCH more than what I was reading yesterday.
#4 and still so cute. Older protagonists this time which was refreshing. Themes of swapping careers in storylines just hit differently at 37 than 27. I still want to visit a Renaissance Faire... It's on my bucket list because of this series. 🍗🍗🍗 LuLu's Grandma is pretty great too 🤣
First completed book of 2023, chosen because otherwise it would be my first overdue library book of 2023 😂 If you've enjoyed the other books in the series, you'll probably like this one, too. There were a lot of things I liked about this couple and liked about them together. However, I always find DeLuca's books to be slightly sexist against men - her characters always are complaining about how men objectify women etc while going on about how ⬇
I‘m giving this a very marginal pick. This is the fourth book in this author‘s Ren Faire rom-coms. This time a busy lawyers bails life for the Faire and finds friendship and love along the way. The friend portion of her journey is much more successful than the romance. I never really believe the hero was all that great. 3.25⭐️
First book finished for 2023!

I took advantage of the Barnes & Noble post- Christmas sales. What can I say? I had a few gift cards that were burning a hole in my pocket! 😁
Hopefully I'll read these sooner than later and they won't appear on my August 2027 BookSpin list!
I love how expansive this series has gotten! Lulu and Dex were made for each other, and the way their story developed was fresh AND fun AND sexy AND emotional, just as I like it. #romcom #contemporaryromance

❄️ All I want for Christmas is the third book (That works. I'm sure there is some third book I need. Lol)
❄️The tagged one. So excited for it!

Am I a sucker for Jen DeLuca‘s Willow Creek series? I am. Was I thrilled to get an ARC of the newest one? I was. This book follows Lulu, a lawyer who goes off the grid and quits her job, tagging along with kilt wearing musicians (if you‘ve read the series, they‘re from book 2). Enter Dex: a guitarist with a reputation. Sparks fly. I liked this one and felt like Lulu‘s journey was really relatable. Pick it up if you love RennFaires!
Get me to a Ren Fair stat! No one has made a stronger PSA for the sexiness of renaissance faires and their patrons than Jen DeLuca. I have loved every book in this series, but I think We‘ll Traveled is my favorite. Lulu and Dex are so great together; they‘re both confident, have realistic expectations and most importantly, respect each other. They‘re also just a whole hell of a lot of fun to read.
