I like Abby Jimenez's writing, but this story wasn't my favorite. Her characters are great but I am not a fan of the "let's not communicate for 80% of the book and just be angsty" trope- with a quick wrap up in the last few chapters.
Started this one today while watching football. So far, it's quite fascinating. The book. Football is not as fascinating. 😂🏈
I'm normally not a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope but this one was cute. Lucas and Izzy are more flirty/competitive than mean or nasty. And the author did a good job of showing both sides and why they were hesitant to be honest with their feelings. The hotel is a fun setting with a cast of characters that added to the story as well. #cuteromcom
I. Loved. This. It is good, clean sinister fun with twists and turns right up to the end. It was just what I needed to get out of a reading slump.
This was super cute, fun, and filled with great characters. I love her books. 🤓
I started out wanting to like this one but it really got sloppy and all over the place. And I think there were about 25 different plots and twists, maybe more. Sadly, I ended up skimming the second half just to finish. 😬
These are lovely short stories. I'm eager to read the third one due out in Feb 2025. ❤️🤓
This was a super cute story with a fun premise. Could maybe be a little shorter but otherwise it has all the things that make a great Emily Henry book. 🤓
Although I'm not a fan of the "let's not communicate about how we feel for 200 pages" storyline, this one had a friend group that added a fun dynamic, as well as some complications that were realistic. And I LOVED the ending. Christina Lauren always writes great characters which keeps me reading. ?
This wasn't my favorite Katherine Center book, but I still liked it. I prefer ones like The Bodyguard where there are mostly scenes between the two main characters. Although this one is more focused on one MC, it is still filled with heart and strong emotions and lovely writing and all the things that make Katherine Center a fave author. 🤓❤️
Sabrina liked this one as much as I did. ❤️ Jimenez is definitely a new favorite author.
I loved everything about this book. I devoured it in a day. The hero is amazing (thank you Abby Jiminez for writing men who are awesome because they do exist) and the heroine is strong and someone I rooted for 100%. The kind of couple and story that was true romance in my opinion. New fave of 2024. ❤️
I loved everything about this book. It's my favorite of the year so far ❤️ and the first Abby Jimenez book I've read (I'm sad to admit) so I have purchased all her others. My summer reading plan made. 🤓
I'm only 20 pages into this and laughing pretty hard. That's a good sign. 🤣🙃
I really liked this book. LOVED Poppy and Alex and their friendship that leads to love. My only complaint was it was a little too long. 50 pages shorter maybe? 😬

This was a good, fast paced whodunit. I didn't have any idea who the murder was until the end. It's pretty gritty though and addresses abuse so - not for everyone.
A night of indulgences. A great book and espresso martini. 🤓🍸
I read this for book club and enjoyed it. Being in Molly's mind was certainly interesting but I will say I got to the end and went "wait...what?" I'm still processing how I feel about the ending, but I liked the writing and would read this author again. ?
This one hasn't been feeling so well. Lots of rest and reading for us right now. 🤓🐶 #SabrinatheGreat
This one was tough to get into. I got to about 150 pages and felt that it was all a grumpy older man with not much explanation as to why. I almost gave up on it but I'm glad I didn't. The writing is truly lovely and as soon as other characters came in and there was more given about Ove and why he was the way he was, there was humor and the story was endearing.
I ADORED this book. Cutest romance where the true love story isn't where you originally expect it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #romance #readromance

I do so love Katherine Center's writing. But much like Happiness For Beginners, this one was much less romance and more young woman on a journey. Which I liked! This one was sister focused with a super interesting twist. So I liked this a lot, just didn't love because her brilliance (and my favorite part of her writing) is dialogue with a hero and heroine. ❤️

Another home run by Katharine Center. Going to watch the Netflix movie based on it tonight. 💖
I listened to this on audio and it was fantastic. What a lovely behind the scenes view of a true classic. Having other actors involved in the film, as well as Rob Reiner and William Goldman, popping in to share their memories made it that much more delightful. ❤️
I truly hate to not finish a book, and after LOVING Holiday Romance and Snowed In, I was thoroughly bummed to get halfway through this one and call it a bail. 😐 I just could not get myself to like the MC. I also couldn't fully grasp her reasons for being home in Ireland. #sadtogobutimust
I like to have a book on writing in my reading rotation and this one was good. Just the kick-start I needed headed into a New Year. 🤩 #writinglife
I lied. I said Holiday Romance was my favorite book of 2023 but this one is-I LOVED IT! So many emotions, life questions...fascinating! The MC wishes herself from 26 to 42. And I like how the author didn't pit one version of the main character's life against the other. It was more of her seeing she didn't fully appreciate what she DID have in her 20's. She sees that there's a "good part" to all phases of life. She just needs to look for them.
This was a cute twist on A Christmas Carol. I struggled to like the main character, but the story was interesting enough that I wanted to see how it ended. And I liked the ending. 🎄 #christmasread
This was super cute and a fun sequel to Holiday Romance. I liked Holiday Romance just a bit more but this has the same amount of humor and flirting and romance and was a perfect #holidayread. 🎄
This might just be my favorite book of the year. ❤️ The friendship between Andrew and Molly is so real and hilarious and fun to read ~ their relationship is one built on honest feelings and truly knowing one another. I loved every minute of it. I would love to see this made into a Hallmark movie. 🥰 #romance #greatromance #christmasromance

This was a fun, quick read. The writing style of emails, texts, and group chats isn't normally my favorite, but worked well with this story and was done well. I found the humor of the chats between everyone more dominant than the mystery, but since I laughed out loud a few times I considered it a cute, enjoyable read. 🤓
