Everyone knows Alice, if not the book then one of the movie adaptions. I grew up with Disney's Alice and remember reading the book under the covers in bed after lights out. I still have that copy, it's just a little... ok, very... banged up so I bought this lovely edition 😊

Which books have been on your TBR forever that you can't seem to get around to?

For me, it's these beauties. I started this epic journey with Frodo and his friends maybe 15 or so years ago but never continued. I keep saying I will read them but to be honest, I'm not sure I'll get round to it anytime soon 🙈

Stalking Jack the Ripper | Kerri Maniscalco

I was in London last September and couldn't resist going on a Jack the Ripper walk. Having actually been in those places and seen some of the crime scene photos made reading this so much creepier. I quite liked Audrey Rose and am very excited for the sequel!

I know a lot of people didn't like Wintersong and while I understand their issues with the book I am willing to look past them all because I loved it so much. The writing was beautiful and I was immediately swept away by Liesl and the Goblin King 😍 I am really excited to read the next book!

Grisha Trilogy Boxed Set: Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, Ruin and Rising | Leigh Bardugo

I wonder if I would have enjoyed these more if I hadn't read Six of Crows/Crooked Kindgom first. SoC blew me away and I fell in love with the characters and the Grisha series left me feeling a bit... meh. The protagonist Alina got on my nerves and I couldn't connect with her but I love Prince Nikolai 😍

MyBookishSecret I've only read "Shadow and Bone", but because I read "Six of Crows" first too, it was a let down. The writing was not as flawless as in "Six of Crows" - at least we can see how much Leigh Bardugo improved her writing. ? 7y
