This book was a delight! The main character is a strong, resourceful, good-hearted woman with a witty sense of humor. Although the novel is lighthearted, there are several difficult situations and moral dilemmas which are dealt with realistically. The characters all seemed real. This is not just a “fluffy” romance. It has substance. 5⭐️

Obi modeling books for me today. I loved this book- and hope to read more by this author. It reminded me of a little P&P and S&S and also a sort of kind of Charles Dickens vibe but a much longer happy part of the story- hence Jane Austen‘s…. A poor but sweet girl trying to make her way in the world before and after being reunited with family. Also, romance. @julieclair this and next book will be in the mail to you tomorrow morning.

It had been several years since I read this one, but it 100% held up to the reread. Caroline is such a fantastic MC, taking what life hands her with optimism and determination to make it work. The banter in this book is fabulous, and the side characters manage to be quirky without being obnoxious.

August has been my worst reading month that I've had in years. A lot of things happening at once, just weird vibes all around. Anyway, I am sincerely hoping for a quiet, no-drama weekend where the husband and I can just hide at home and not take any phone calls 😂 I want to finish three books this weekend - a short one I'm halfway through, the tagged book for my #HappyReads group, and one more. We'll see how far I can get!!

I‘ve had the morning at home and managed to finish my first #NewYearWhoDis challenge! 🌟 Thank you to @TheAromaofBooks for the recommendation- it isn‘t a book I would normally read but I pleasantly enjoyed it; with it‘s regency charm, likeable heroine and an abundance of secondary characters. These words really resonate with me at the moment. Only the last 100 pages to go in this regal, decadent novel as part of my first #NewYearWhoDis

Started my Book.1 for #NewYearWhoDis book as recommended by @TheAromaofBooks I‘m already in love with the elegant writing style and feel the relationship between the two leading ladies will be quite entertaining

Well..this is my first #NewYearNewYou post. These are my TBR pile although I‘m a quarter of a way into my tagged book as recommended by @TheAromaofBooks which I‘m getting into and really enjoying. My children are back at school Monday so hoping to make a start on reading a bit more and finally eating my Xmas treats all to myself!

Finally got my hands on my first #NewYearWhoDis book. So excited to take part ...it looks very grown up 😂 Do I just write a review when I‘ve finished? I‘m learning very quickly how to do things on Litsy xx

1. I'm a sucker for snarky dialogue and happy endings. (Tagged book is a solid example.)
2. If I don't need my eyes for the task at hand, I'm reading while I'm doing that task. Every second I can squeeze in!!

This episode was pretty good overall, but I don't care for efforts to try to make Gul Dukat a sympathetic character in any way. I prefer him cold and reptilian, a monster who will stab friend or foe to get what he wants.

It was super fun to revisit this one! So funny and lighthearted - a perfect holiday read! Definitely recommend it.

In the mountains for the week, enjoying gorgeous views and plenty of time for revisiting some favorite books. I'd forgotten how genuinely funny Indiscretion is!
