I read Truman‘s Christmas short stories every December so I thought it was time for a reread of this little gem for Thanksgiving. I love Miss Sook and the relationship she had with Truman. 4⭐️

Last day of pie for breakfast, plus Truman Capote, #20in4, and some #WinterGames prep. Here‘s hoping the kids sleep late today!

This is another sweet little holiday story about Buddy‘s (Truman‘s) childhood growing up in Alabama with Miss Sook and their eccentric little family. I love reading about his childhood and would highly recommend the fiction series Tru & Nelle, which are also perfect to read this time of year. 4⭐️

My Dad's one of those cooks who doesn't let anyone near the kitchen on Thanksgiving - he insists on doing everything. So pro-tip: I wake up early every Friday-after and use the leftovers to make this amazing turkey hash with eggs (on NYT website). 🍳 🦃 Happy T-day everyone - I'm so thankful for all my new Litsy friends!

#thankfulfor my husband and daughter and that we were able to put our family back together despite it being an arduous journey after a very painful divorce a few years ago. And #Bitsy (not pictured) because sometimes dogs can help us heal. As a side note to this pic - don't wear boots with heels to the corn maze - it won't end well
