This book took me by surprise and totally captured my heart. I loved the way it went back and forth through time and how the author eventually brought everything together. I loved hearing the stories of the lost things interwoven through the book. The love stories of the characters were beautiful. Honestly, there wasn‘t anything I disliked about this book. I listened on audio, and I think that made it even more likable for me.

Personal note: The wedding/funeral scene in Chapter 21 is worth the price of the book!

Here‘s my progress on my #readyourkindle picks for this month. I started The Keeper Of Lost Things but I‘m going to DNF it. I liked it in the beginning but I‘ve made it to 61% of the book and I‘m feeling bored. I almost fell asleep listening to it in bed last night. I‘m not going to get around to reading The Chemistry Of Love this month. I‘m probably going to carry it over to next month.

I decided to start this book. This book is on my #readyourkindle list but I‘m going to borrow the audiobook from Libby. I listened to the first 2 chapters and I like it so far. I‘m getting cozy vibes from this book. I like cozy books. They make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. This book mentioned having a cup of tea, biscuits, working in the garden, going for a walk and the book is set in London.

I loved this. The audiobook was lovely. And the story so pleasant. Each character was so appealing in their own way and although there was heartache or sadness throughout, there was great love and friendship. A beautiful story. 😊❤️

This falls into the “one of those cute British stories” that seem to be so popular now. It‘s not necessarily my favorite genre, but it‘s a good palette cleanser between heavier reads. This was your standard lighthearted, somewhat quirky, feel-good book. I liked it overall, though.

The Keeper of Lost Things
Ruth Hogan

I have read two books by Ruth Hogan and particularly enjoyed this one!

After the death of his wife, Anthony Peardew makes it his mission to return lost items to their rightful owners. I found The Keeper of Lost Things is a wholesome and life affirming book, as well as being a moving read.

I am also in love with the beautiful cover 🥰

I was excited to open my #FFFS package from @Laughterhp especially to finally find out what has smelled so good! It's a big candle in the scent Sweater Weather. It smells amazing. The books are The Keeper of Lost Things by Ruth Hogan and Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune. I'm excited to read them. Also can't wait to try out the hot chocolate. The fuzzy socks are so soft. Thank you for all the goodies!

RedxoHearts Oh and I just realized that I accidentally left out the pink starburst. They are my favorite. Also don't worry the candle made it safely. :) 2y

What a beautiful story! There were two different storylines going on - both interesting & full of characters I liked and wanted to know more about - and they finally cross paths in the best way they could. I absolutely loved dancing drome, Sunshine, and the lovely cup of tea she made.

I‘ve heard great things about this book, but in the end it didn‘t click for me. I did like the fantasy/magical realism elements, and I became invested in Eunice‘s story more so than Laura‘s. I did like how everyone in each storyline ended up having some kind of connection at the end though. The short stories for me really didn‘t work with the vibe of the rest of the book. I ended up skipping them on my audiobook.

Quirky, charming, a little mysterious, a bit romantic and mystical, this novel is really two stories in one. A story of loss, love, heartbreak, friendship, redemption and hope, full of rich characters. Original and inventive! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚

I really enjoyed this book, I think it may come across as sentimental to some, but it hit all my spiritual buttons with the saints and superstitions.

The premise was very gripping and I started reading the book. It was great until about half way in and suddenly the story was going nowhere. It felt as though the pages needed to be filled with story that doesn't tie up with the plot. Again the story picked up closer to the end. 3/5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This novel weaves together two storylines that at first glance appear unrelated. As the stories progress, it all converges in a denouement that is satisfying and heartwarming. My only critiques are that it was very slow until the last third, so it was difficult to get invested; and the frequent foreshadowing made it fairly predictable. Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend it for those looking for a feel-good novel.

Ah, the back and forth with this book. It started out so very strong; the storyline, the characters, the possibilities! About midway through, the plot fell completely flat. I‘m not sure what happened, but it seemed like it turned into a completely different novel. One of the main characters became something that didn‘t match up with the rest of the story. Luckily the ending redeemed itself by tying things together nicely. Not my fave, but ⭐️⭐️⭐️.
