Infinite Tuesday
Infinite Tuesday: An Autobiographical Riff | Michael Nesmith
21 posts | 5 read | 7 to read
The long, strange journey of Michael Nesmith is as fascinating as it as was fraught--from fleeing Dallas as a young man with his pregnant girlfriend, to gaining international fame as a member of the Monkees, to falling deep into the grips of what he calls Celebrity Psychosis, to finally achieving inner peace and finding a creative wellspring in the teachings of Christian Science. Influenced in equal parts by the consciousness-expanding ambitions of Timothy Leary and the cerebral humor of Douglas Adams, in Infinite Tuesday, Nesmith spins a spellbinding tale of an unexpected life, in which stories about meeting John Lennon, or recording with Nashville greats, or inventing the music video trace an arc from Hollywood to Silicon Valley, illuminating a remarkable mind along the way."

1. I pass it on. If I think it's something a friend or family member would like, I'll gift it to them. Otherwise it goes to the used book store.
2. By Force Alone by Lavie Tidhar or Star Wars: Shadow Fall by Alexander Freed.

Thanks for the #TuesdayTidbits tag, @BiblioLitten !

1. I'm not sure how I'd feel about them NOW, but the last time I reread R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt books I could. not. put. them. down even though they've got about a million flaws.

2. The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.

3. Hmmm... Probably deep fried cheese curds. I wish they were easily available here, but it's probably best that they're not.

marineko I used to love the Drizzt books too! I only got up to the Icewind Dale books though. 7y
Johanna414 The biggest employer in my town is a plant that makes cheese curd as a byproduct of their mozzarella. Every restaurant in town has some sort of fried cheese curd and it takes all my self control to not order them every time I go out to eat... my favorite is our diner that fries them in a waffle maker. So good! 7y
BiblioLitten I have never have cheese curds! Everything sounds good with cheese in it.😀 7y
See All 6 Comments
xicanti @marineko they were some of Teenage Me's faves. I read them a whole bunch of times in junior high. 7y
xicanti @Johanna414 you hit the fried cheese curd jackpot! We have one major cheese curd producer here, but none of the local restaurants have jumped on the fried train. They all just do various kinds of poutine. It saddens me. 7y
xicanti @BiblioLitten cheese curds are wonderful! They make a little sound when you bite into them, so when I was a kid everybody called them Squeaky Cheese. 7y

Thank you for the tag, @Crazeedi !

1. Do I have to pick just one? My go to is Pride and Prejudice, but I also enjoy re-reading Hannah Kent‘s Burial Rites and anything by Louise Penny.
2. French fries all the way!
3. Hmmmm...I tend to watch more reruns of long ago shows than anything new, since Once Upon a Time is ending
4. Wanna play? Consider yourself tagged!
#TuesdayTidbits

Crazeedi I have a question where do you get the little person icon when you tag someone? I see it on posts, can't figure it out 7y
Librarybelle @Crazeedi I have an iPhone, so I‘m not sure if it‘s the same with Androids, but when I create a post, there are options along with adding a photo or spoiler. I press on that and search for whomever‘s handle I want to tag. It appears on the same screen as the post you‘re writing. (edited) 7y
Lmstraubie @Crazeedi It's only available on iPhones (like other Litsy perks like separating your likes from comments you receive). Hopefully it will be changed soon. 7y

Crazeedi @Lmstraubie thank you for the info!! 7y
Librarybelle @Lmstraubie Good ones! I actually have Law and Order on right now, since it seems to be on just about every day on one of several channels. 7y

Working in a college dorm full of girls is hard work. It‘s been a long week and Tuesday has just started.. fingers crossed it‘s all uphill from here.. I tried 18 times to make a #bitmoji that actually looked like me.. I failed every time. 😂😂 oh well.

SilversReviews As long as it is close to what you look like. :). Very cute #Bitmoji - thanks for joining in the fun and sharing. 7y
