Whhaaaaa??? Great grimdark. Page 120 just made me choke on my popcorn. I need someone to talk with about this one. 😳🤯🤬🤭

To play along post a pic of a book cover that you love - no need for explanation 😊 and feel free to tag a litten you think would enjoy this!
@gimmeabook do want to join? 😁
Grimdark fantasy debut by a female author! Fast and we'll written, but TW for rape and human sacrifice.
I thought the characters could use some finer work in the beginning, but it all comes together and of course it ends in a cliffhanger and I NEED THE SECOND BOOK NOW!!
Happy hump day! If you're a fan of grimdark fantasy with lots of POVs and warfare, this book. There were definitely some issues (and lots of brutality) but it was a good read over the dark winter nights.

This book delivered much in the way of rituals, sacrifices, and sheer brutality! Seriously, if it can cause a trigger, it is in this book and it will be in full graphic bloody detail. There were about ten different points of view in this book and that did take away from really developing a true connection with any one character. Also, a lot of the plot felt like it followed a grimdark formula. Full review at www.thegenreminx.com #bookreviewer
1. Godblind by Anna Stephens - Book by a new dark fantasy author I that highly recommend. She liked my review of her book on Goodreads which I thought was cool. I didn't know authors really looked at those.
2. Neil Gaiman
3. Girl, Interrupted
4. Garlic (we put it in everything in this house!)

Finally getting into this book at around the 100 page mark. It took a while but it was worth the wait as things are really heating up now 🔥 #fantasy #currentlyreading
Bailing on this one for now. It‘s not by any means a bad book and I have thoroughly enjoyed what I‘ve read so far. But my reading mood has shifted and I don‘t see myself finishing this before it goes back to the library. But when I‘m back in the mood for a grimdark fantasy I‘ll be picking this up again! So it‘s not goodbye, just see you later Godblind.
“Poe had the winner and scooped coins and ale to his side of the table, baring yellow snaggle-teeth in something that might have been a smile. On a bear.” 🤣 Loving the humor in this one.
Next up! Had my eye on this one for a while and finally snagged it from my library, though I can tell I‘m going to be wanting my own copy. I only have a couple of days to read it, but my mind is such that I just want to stare at my phone until I fall asleep because I can‘t seem to concentrate on anything else😩 anyone else have issues getting motivated to read sometimes?
My 5/5 STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ spoiler free review of 'GODLIND' by Anna Stephens is up on my blog now.
Stephens debut fantasy novel is absolutely dark & incredible! ⚔️ https://www.thebooktweeter.com/single-post/2017/08/09/GODBLIND 🖤
Thank you @HarperCollins Aus for sending me a copy to review 🖤
This is not for the faint of heart. Seriously! Gory imagery, brutal assaults and an awful lot of swearing. Despite that, it's an enjoyable read. The short chapters form varying points of view weren't really to my tastes, but it helped me connect or dislike characters, which was probably the aim.
thank you so much to the lovely people at harper collins for sending me this gorgeous new fantasy release ✨
do you like to read fantasy?
I saw this on Epic Reads Facebook page. Exactly what I think when I see a map in a book! 😂😂
About to start this dark fantasy! 😍
Super excited for what it holds, and even more excited that it's a female author producing a dark adult fantasy novel!

It's been a bit of a crappy week and I haven't picked up a book in days. Hopefully now it's the weekend I can't get some R&R&R!
How incredible is this cover?!
I can't wait to read it.
#coverlove
I just love this cover but I hate the layout and the size of the font they used. If I had seen this before I bought it, I wouldn't have bought it because of that but probably bought the paperback..
Does anyone else get turned off by too large or spaced out print in books or weird fonts?

I'm so excited to read this beauty!!! I'm currently reading three!! How many books are you reading at the moment?
If you like your fantasy gory, brutal, bloody, stabby, and very vivid then this is the read for you!
I got more and more hooked, the pace was snappy, helped along by the short chapters and differing POVs. There's plenty of interesting characters and I'm expecting big things from the sequel!
Thanks to this book I can't look at a hammer in the same way again 😷

I don't know what else to say except this book was WILD from start to finish. Also very graphic and violent.
Giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
If you want to check this out and are worried about triggers feel free to shoot me a message and I'll clear things up for you 😊
#bookmail #goldsboro it's gorgeous with beautiful sprayed edges, love Goldsboro's limited edition books❤️📚

I recently received a copy of Godblind from HarperCollins New Zealand. I'm hoping to read this soon.
And the cover is gorgeous 😍😍😍
Back to work blues = buying myself a book
This has really good reviews. It's labelled as dark fantasy and so I'm ridiculously excited to read it. It's been bumped up my tbr pile.
The Goldsboro June book sounds amazing! 😍😍😍😍
