A nice, quiet read. The story of a family and their two week holiday. I think it captured all the emotions it can bring. The anticipation, the anxiety, the settling in …

It was mailed Tuesday to you @Maggie4483 @TheAromaofBooks @inthegreensandblues

marleed I loved this book and the manner in which it was written and published- and republished all these years later. 13mo
TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I'm looking forward to this one!! 13mo

I‘m am really looking forward to a round of feel good reads. Here are some I found. What do you think? I‘m leaning towards the tagged book but the others sound fun too. They are tagged in the comments.

marleed Input from a random Litsy member… I love Fortnight In September and have purchased it two additional times for gifts. I would recommend reading the history of how and when it was written and published prior to reading because I believe it helps the reader appreciate the simplicity in the story. 14mo
LeahBergen I enjoyed all of these! 😊 14mo
inthegreensandblues I haven't read any of them and they all sound good. 😊 14mo
TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I'm so excited about this round of reading!! I recently read Diary of a Provincial Lady, but haven't read any of the others, so I would be fine with any of them!! 14mo
Maggie4483 These all sound great! I‘d be happy with any of them (and I‘m adding all of everyone‘s picks to my TBR). 14mo
Deblovestoread I appreciate the input especially the tip about reading the history first since this is going to be my pick. Thank you 😊 @marleed 14mo
Deblovestoread I‘m going to go with this one 14mo

It‘s the 1930s, and the Stevens family travel to the English seaside town of Bognor. For two glorious weeks they are freed from collars and stockings, from work and duties.

It is the 20th time they go there and their days pass in the same way each year. The family can afford little but what dominates is their constant enjoyment and making the most of every little ritual.

A wonderful book, a typical #Persephone. Highly recommended.

erzascarletbookgasm I‘ve got this on hold. Lovely view! 2y
Ruthiella Love this book! ❤️ 2y

BarbaraBB @sarahbarnes How are you doing with 2y
sarahbarnes I am still in book 2. 😳 I feel like other books keeping taking my attention. I like it, but it is slow going for me. Maybe that‘s okay. How are you doing with it? 2y
BarbaraBB @sarahbarnes Exactly the same. I‘m not really motivated to pick it up again even though I like it too. Other books all seem more appealing! 2y

Look at these beauties side by side. Looks like Florence Adler strolled over to the other cover. Thank you to the Litten who posted about Fortnight (but I forgot who it was!) I immediately got it. Sounds exactly like my kind of book. #covertwins
