First Hubbie gave me The God Emperor Of Dune with this spice produced by a famous potato chip producer.
Afterwards I got those exklusive spices, which were the real gift 😁
I love this man and his kind of humour 😁❤️
I don‘t DNF very often. I have a not uncommon compulsion to finish a book once I‘m a good enough way into it. But I read a good hundred pages of these three books and ultimately decided, I could stop. Not bad books, just not for me!
😒The Harkness book was too much of a romance for me.
😒The Dune books got too convoluted for me.
😒The Carter title was too slow and I am a moron at chess which was part of the plot.

so-soJust finished this and went looking for a cover image (I usw a Kobo ereader, as there are no libraries where I live). I found all covers for this book are awful. I settled with this.
The book was ok. The God Emperor goes on a lot. I'm not sure I got all of what Frank Herbert was trying to say. Maybe the gist of things but I can't explain it to others. Would I recommend it? Only if you had a lot of patience and appreciate existential commentaries.
