5/5
This MG read- World, Characters & writing were all unique but pacing issues left it a few notches above Meh. My family listened to this book at bedtime every night- My daughter was bored enough to throw in the towel early on & it was (at times) an unwanted sleeping aid for us old folks. I found it to be enjoyable enough, but just not as gripping as the first book. Now the narrator, HE was phenomenal! Definitely give this one a go as an audiobook
Between a So-So and a Pick.
Maybe I should continue this series in English, since in German the dialogues do not sound funny, but like the characters hate each other, even if they are supposed to be friends. The story feels a bit rushed and to easy, but I still call it a Pick, since I felt entertained most of the time.

I hope to finish Shadowblack and The warehouse this weekend so I can get started on my russian november. Metro is an audiobook and I hope to finish 2035, too... At least this month I managed to keep my #tbr pile manageble 😅

Gooood morning!
Let's see, if the weather let's me do a nice long #audiowalk today.
If not, I'll just stick with my #audiocrochet project.
Two posts from me today. Forgot it yesterday.

1. I think it's somewhere between 8 and 10... But I'm sure there are more to come 😁
2. Both are lovely... But I'd always choose the coastline.
3. Scotland!
4. Probably places I've seen. I love the thought of having wandered the exact same roads as the MCs.

To be completely honest, the first one was better! But I really enjoyed this second volume and I'm looking forward to the third one! This book is quite fast-paced and the characters are great! Even if Kellen is an unlucky fellow, that's for sure!
Not books related but... I went AWOL for a really long time and I've missed my Litsy community! Hope to be here to stay, this time!
Those midnight reads where you come to the climax of the book and your eyes are racing across the page, the house is quiet, no one is around, its just you and the finishing of another adventure.
I love that shit. 😁
Okay...so Spellslinger was an absolute blast to read. I blew through it in just two reading sessions and now I'm diving straight into the sequel, Shadowblack. 🤸♂️
I'm so excited that I get to keep going! 🤗
Book 2 in the series finds Kellen living by his wits with a bounty on his head. A blindfolded girl who can see, a dastardly spellslinger, conspiracy, and plenty of nasty commentary by our favorite squirrel cat all combine for a helluva adventure and a very nice progression from Kellen‘s initial story into a much bigger world of interesting magics, politics, and backstabbing. The deeper the story goes, the better it gets!
Another one sitting read by Sebastien de Castell.
The squirrel cat...I WANT ONE! Reminds me of a NIFFLER! That's literally all I think when he's in a scene! I loved the magic, the fighting, questing and battling with shadowblack plague. Kelley's struggle to find his role just hit me in the feels!
As always, I adored the comedy and sarcasm within all the characters and the overall tone.
LOOK AT THAT COVER! 😍
OMG! GUESS WHO I AM MEETING NEXT SATURDAY IN TORONTO!
So gonna catch up on one of his series at least!
I just love this series. Kellen is not your usual hero, but someone who just can‘t seem to do anything right. Top that with a sarcastic, swearing squirrel cat and you have the perfect book for me 😄
#bookmail love this cover ❤️📚
