Have been sitting outside for hours. Unfortunately, now that the sun is on the other side of the building #GhostCat no longer wants to lie on the floor (she lay in the sun all morning).
First book in the Spellslinger series. I thought I give it a try. It's okay, but definitely YA. Although the pacing is good, the plot could unfold a little faster for my taste.

Thanks @The_Penniless_Author for the tag 🖤👻

Wow, this was such a fun read! It has great characters with wonderful chemistry, a fast-moving plot with short easy chapters, and some very fun fight scenes. I loved the Western feel to this book and I can't wait to pick up the rest of this series.
I‘m a woman, kid. You probably haven‘t met one before, coming as you do from this backward place, but it‘s like a man only smarter and with bigger balls.

For #magic prompt I go with the last fantasy series that took my heart: spellslinger ❤❤
Day 19
1. Well, actually I wasn't even born. Matisse, the cat, was 2 years old when I arrived 😁
2. I'm thankful that my friends don't hate me even if I have to cancel the appointment at the very last because of an extraordinary work's meeting that took too long 😣😔

It's one of the best book I've read this year.
I truly loved it and I can't wait to catch the other books (here in Italy are available this and the second one only, in case I will read them in english).
I'm totally hooked up by this universe and Sebastien de Castell is a great storyteller.
He put a spell on me with the first sentence 😍
Highly recommended!! ❤❤

Spelsslinger is killing me 😭
I need to jump into it and to hit some characters 😭
I am loving it ❤💔
#spellslinger #sebastiendecastell
I love to read, but it's sad doing it at work because of this stressful situation 😔
Luckily I still have a job!

This was so much fun and an entertaining read from page 1. Now I totally get it why this series is so popular. Can't wait to continue reading ☺️
Sorry I‘ve been MIA with migraines. This week I‘ve re-listened to the Spellslinger series. I‘ve enjoyed it more this time around. Still haven‘t listen to the final book in the series that was released in December. I thought book 5 Queenslayer was the final book.

A YA fantasy series by Sebastian De Castell that I absolutely adore. If you like the Greatcoat books by the same author you'll enjoy these!

@TheReadingMermaid
This is a story about a boy named Kellen who tries to find his magic but can't seem to find it throughout the story we learn of friendships being tested and betrayals of family and then discovering who you really are and who you want to be.
Well not everything is pictured here but I‘ve read 41 books in August which is ridiculously awesome. I binged The Selection series on audio which isn‘t pictured as are a couple others.
Here‘s my breakdown:
* 25 library books * 11 graphic novels
* 4 review books
* 10 physical TBR books
* 20 audiobooks
Very hard to pick a favorite but I‘m looking forward to reading more of the Spellslinger series next month.
Sooooo looking forward to the rest of the series! I fell in love with this world!
PICK PICK PICK
Half way through book 1 of the series, I had to order the second one yesterday. I just love the characters and the story!
This bookcover was one of the first things my mom made for me with her new sewingmachine. I loooove cupcakes!!!

I'm going to start this beauty now.
Only bought it for the cover. It's simply amazing. Hope the story will be good, too. 😅

Don‘t mind the mess but I was enjoying Spellslinger too much to care when I took this pic. I think my favorite character may be an animal in this book and I‘m excited to see where the story goes!

When it‘s #newtsreadathon2019 and you bring 2 books to work 🤣. I have found myself favoring “Rebecca” this week and not really touching my other books anyone else find themselves doing that when they read more than one book at a time? #currentreads #bookproblems
Started this one this afternoon along with a few others as well. Can anyone else read more than one book at a time? #newtsreadathon2019 #spellslinger #readathon
Look at these beauties! 😍
Sadly it is high time I return them to the library. If I‘m lucky they‘ll have found book 5 for me. The sixth and final book will be out later this year. Maybe I‘ll just have to buy a full set for our non-existent spare shelf space. 😬😆
This was great! I needed a series I can binge even though the last one isn‘t out until Fall 😫. Reichis might be my new favorite talking animal sidekick!!
Torn on this one, and not just because it‘s the first in what appears to be a series of six books (I think four are out). There‘s magic and intrigue but sometimes it feels like it took too long to get anywhere. I liked the end and figure I‘ll try the second to see how it goes.
When your child has a towering TBR and is going to spend the Easter break making a good dent in it but gets sidetracked by a pretty cover that turns out to be the first in a long series, and it is so good she tells you to put aside your own, even more towering, TBR and read this series - right now!
#BooknerdProblems #thestruggleisreal #raisingreaders will explode your tbr 🤣
Man...I was so excited that work was dead tonight so I could get back home to this book. I'm reeeeeeeally enjoying it! Shoulda seen it coming since I enjoyed the authors previous books so much.
I was in such a hurry to get home that I forgot to get marshmallows. My hot chocolate feels naked. 🙈
I hope these don't suck cuz I just bought all 3 (4th one releases this December). 😂
I'm pretty confident they won't, I loved Castell's Greatcoat series sooo.... 🤞
Totally enjoyed this fun magical world where our hero has no magic and survives by his wits - and gets sharper as things progress. The tone is humorous and the dialogue quick but there are big secrets and serious fight scenes. And his squirrel cat sidekick is a wonderfully grumpy kick in the pants - no fuzzy familiar here! Already grabbed the next book in the series - the ending was not too cliffhangery but totally set up for more adventures!
Willow having a morning read! ❤️🐶📚
She also now has her own Instagram page, feel free to follow her @ pupstagram_fourpaws and see what she gets up to.
Of all the places I‘ve travelled to, none have been as magical as those found in books ❤️✨✨
I loved the adventure and the lessons learned in this story. I just kept cringing at how much this poor kid kept getting his ass kicked the entire way through the book. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!
The magic, politics, mystery, backstabbing, selfish acts, dialogue--everything was amazing. The magic was particularly cool and I lived that the main character wasn't just hiding all his powers and they are unlocked and he becomes the savour thing. It's so refreshing. The elder roles are played by 2 HILARIOUS women with some killer dialogue and wisdom.
I'm also a sucker for hidden family secrets so this was killer!
Mini update: this book is amazing and the dialogue is hilarious! My coworker managed to find physical copies of it and the sequel through a work vendor and I ordered them!
SQUIRREL CATS!
Another one I bought fully based on the cover and it's only a duology so not a big take on if I do want to continue the series.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a physical copy anywhere but Book Depository so I thought I'd try the audiobook and decide if it's worth the month wait for delivery of it and the sequel.
Excellent book! Finally a hero who does not miraculously get powers better that everyone else when threatened.
Here's my TBR list for October!
Spellslinger by Sebastien de Castell
A Jigsaw of Fire and Stars
Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody
Monster by Michael Grant (ebook)
The Jane Austen BBC collection (Audiobook)
Was only OK but I enjoyed it enough to want to read the sequel. I like the world and the Magic System and have high hopes that the sequel will be much better.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Posting a pic of the flap copy because there is no description in Litsy!
@Sarah83 - you know me: it's magic + adventures!
Sounds good for us Schwab Shades of London freaks!

Plus, it is #signedsunday! #Goldsboro sure delivers delightful signed editions 💕 and you gotta love an author who adds a bit more than a signature!
This gorgeous bastard of a book has been torturing me to stray from my reading plans and dive in.
I inset a photo of the gal upside down on the cover - I think she looks like an ass-kicking gal I will enjoy!
It is also part of my new obsession with buying beautiful #Goldsboro Books editions....
