1.) I wasn‘t really scared of stuff as kid. I would check out scary kid books all the time. 2.) Stephen Kings books usually give me nightmares sometimes. 3.) House of Leaves 🤷‍♀️ #sundayfunday @ozma.of.oz

BookmarkTavern I‘ve never read a Stephen King book! 😅 Thank you for posting! 4y

This is our city‘s SWAT vehicle (Bearcat) in front of my house. It‘s been a scary night with a huge drug bust just a few houses down 😞

WanderingBookaneer 😱 Stay safe! 6y
Orpheuswaking Now you can write a book about it 6y
Jennick2004 @WanderingBookaneer they have the people in custody but road is still blocked off so hubby can‘t come home yet. @Orpheuswaking I‘d rather read the book 🤣 6y

I don't see scary movies because some of them does make sense to me or they are too scary and I'm a chicken.I saw It but it wasn't scary.I like thrillers, movies, paranormal, haunted houses, witches vampires, most of these movies are suspenseful or epics than scary. I'm open for recommendations.Remember I'm a 🐥 @JenlovesJT47 Scariest things that happened to me? Quite few, I had been assaulted l(robbery) more than once amongst other things🤷🏻‍♀️

JenlovesJT47 Uh oh, that is scary! 😱❤️ 7y
ElishaLovesBooks I‘m a big scaredy cat with movies and books too! And that is terrifying - I‘m sorry that happened to you!😞 7y

👽 aliens!!
🦇 vampires!! Bite me baby!
👩🏽‍🔬 witches for sure
🏰 haunted house, or castle!
🤡 a little scary, or I will not sleep
😖 I don‘t normally read scary so I don‘t have one
#boobooks @Liberty

DGRachel #2 🤣🤣🤣 7y
BethM Same. My imagination is far too active to do scary. 7y
Seekingtardis @BethM oh man! Since I saw IT with the hubby I wake up in the middle of the night and have to (through the covers) look around because I know Penny Wise is there watching me!! 7y
RadicalReader @Seekingtardis creepiest thing would be if you were married to the actor who played Pennywise would be looking through fingers all day every day especially on Halloween he would have instant Halloween costume 7y

1. Zombies
2. Vampires
3. Hmmm... usually witches
4. Haunted houses
5. Really scary but NOT gory
6. Probably will always be IT or 'SALEM'S LOT as both books were my real introduction to the genre.

I'm getting ahead start on my #scaryreads this year. I've read IT, Hex, NOS4A2 and I want something equally/more scary! 😱😱😱 Any suggestions/recommendations on scary books you've read? #iwillregretthislater #nightmaresfordays

Captivatedbybooks I read this book but its not scary its more creepy. And if you believe in the ghosts than it may creep you out for a night lol its a good mystery thriller too 7y
prowlix Have your read The Stand? It's an epic good vs evil set in an ongoing apocalypse. I read it last year for my doorstopper Halloween read and loved it! It's classic King. I'm hoping to read NOS4A2 this year. 7y
Books_Wine_Repeat @Captivatedbybooks Thanks! Adding it to my list. I love a good ghost story! @prowlix It's been on my TBR list for years. I'll move it up! ⭐️ 7y

KathyWheeler Anything by Bentley Little is creepy -- particularly The Store, University, and The Association. (edited) 7y
Books_Wine_Repeat @KathyWheeler Added, thanks! I haven't read any books by that author. 7y
Theresa It's a classic so you've probably read it already, but in case you haven't, I found Dracula to be scarier than IT. 7y
Books_Wine_Repeat @Theresa I'm moving it up my list. Thanks! 👍 7y
vivastory I recommend Nick Cutter's The Troop (warning it is very graphic) & John Langan's The Fisherman. Also Ania Ahlborn's "The Devil Crept In" is genuinely unsettling 7y
Books_Wine_Repeat @vivastory The Troop is one of the grossest books I've read—suspenseful but so nasty! The Deep (also by NC) is equally gross. ...added the other two books. Thanks! 7y
vivastory @Books_Wine_Repeat I haven't read The Deep yet, but I almost gagged a few times when I read The Troop. 7y
Books_Wine_Repeat @vivastory Same! I had to take a lot of breaks to get through The Deep. It's just as gross but much creepier. I need to read his other books. 7y
