The creepy, 6 part miniseries come to a dramatic conclusion! The beginning of the series within a series started off really rough; I honestly was t sure I was going to make it through…This one tied things up pretty well. Like most SVH books, there is A LOT of recap and repetition, and these are definitely the darkest books in the series.
Final book as #EasterOMC comes to an end, but I‘m on pace to hit my #AwesomeApril goal!

Clwojick Book 100! How many of these books do you have? 2y
keys_on_fire @Clwojick 😂😂 I don‘t have them all, but there are 142 books in the high school series, plus some special editions. I also have about 14 of the university series that followed them. Once I read through them one last time, I‘m going to gift them to the daughters of one of my good friends and pass along the joy! 2y

I finished my yearly reread of my favorite Christmas book (and my favorite Sweet Valley book!). It wouldn‘t be Christmas without crazy Margo and her nefarious plans to take over Liz‘s identity. 😆 Pure campy gold! I never get tired of it. 5⭐️

Picture it: we‘re in the land of sunny California in the idyllic town of Sweet Valley. Jessica and Elizabeth, the beautiful blonde twins, are estranged. They go through the motions of opening presents on Christmas morning with their parents and big brother Steven. It‘s all a facade. Meanwhile, Margo, a girl who looks just like the twins, is peering in the window with envy and longing. Soon, she will be the beloved daughter, Elizabeth, with ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 Doting parents and a protective older brother. Her plans to become Elizabeth Wakefield are coming to a head. When the New Year strikes, will Margo‘s plan succeed? 🤔 5y
JenlovesJT47 Lol The Evil Twin is my favorite Sweet Valley book and my favorite Christmas book. I‘ve read it at least 20 times. It wouldn‘t be Christmas without the dysfunctional Wakefield twins and crazy Margo! 😆 5y

It‘s that time of year! Time for my zillionth reread of my all-time favorite Sweet Valley book, The Evil Twin! The 6-part miniseries comes to a head in this special edition. Margo has only a few more details to iron out before she becomes Elizabeth Wakefield for good! 😱No matter how many times I read this, I never get tired of it. It‘s campy, over-the-top, and Christmas related - what more could I ask for? 5⭐️

Time for the 2nd installment of #TuesdayTidbits ! 💞

1. Sweet Valley High, hands down. I'm still trying to collect all of the Sweet Valley series and am currently doing a read-through. 🤓
2. Gwendy's Button Box by SK and Richard Chizmar - have already read it twice! 📚
3. Hilly Holbrook from The Help. 💩🍰
4. Divergent. 😒
5. @TricksyTails @robinb @Gissy @BookaholicNatty @Kaye @Avanders @Tiffy_Reads @JoeStalksBeck @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

vkois88 Omg thank you... someone else who wasn't infatuated with the Divergent series. I was all excited to start it, got a few pages in, and chucked it. I couldn't do it. 7y
JenlovesJT47 @vkois88 I didn't hate the first book, found the concept interesting, but it quickly went downhill from there. The last book was awful! 7y

vkois88 @JenlovesJT47 maybe I'll try again someday. There are just too many other books to try than to stay with something you don't enjoy. I used to hate thinking that way, but it got tough to force myself through things. Plus, being on Litsy has made my TBR out of control lol 7y
JenlovesJT47 @vkois88 honestly if you didn't like the first book I'd steer clear. Life is too short to read books you don't like! And I hear ya, my TBR is out of control and I am getting overwhelmed because I have so many great books to read and I don't know where to start! 😱 7y
mrozzz Ugh YES, wretched HILLY 7y
JenlovesJT47 @mrozzz right?! I think she is even worse in the movie than the book. Bryce Dallas Howard did an excellent job playing her. I always want to reach into the TV and strangle her every time I watch it! 😤 7y
robinb I have never read a Sweet Valley High....I should rectify that! 👍 7y
JenlovesJT47 @robinb yes you should!!! I have an entire bookshelf full of Sweet Valley books, trying to collect all of the series. If you have kindle unlimited they have the regular series available for free there, or you can read the entire series for free on openlibrary.org - I'm reading the SVH series now for the first time from the beginning and it's so entertaining, like a bad soap opera you can't stop watching! 😅Highly recommended with a glass of wine! 7y
robinb @JenlovesJT47 thanks, I‘ll have to check them out! 👍 7y
CherryPie I remember one of the Sweet Valley books really well. It was about a brunette friend who blossomed and became popular. 😀👍 7y
SaturnDoo Me, my 27 yo son and one of his BFFs loved the Divergent series 😊 I was shocked when they read it and loved it!!! 7y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I loved Sweet Valley High!! Thanks for the tag!!! 💕💕 7y
Periwinkle Oh my Sweet Valley Kids, babysitters club, twins... those were the books that made me a book lover! Sweet Valley High books were awesome too! I remember swapping books with my classmates. Ooh I‘m getting nostalgic just thinking about it 💕 7y
JenlovesJT47 @SaturnDoo that's awesome, I'm glad you guys liked it! Did you watch the movies? 7y
JenlovesJT47 @CherryPie @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Periwinkle yes!! Sweet Valley fan for life here! 🙌🏻❤️🤗 7y
SaturnDoo @JenlovesJT47 yep...my spn watched it before I did 😂 7y
JenlovesJT47 @SaturnDoo cool, I only saw the first one. 7y
BeckyK Ahhhh Hilly 😡😡 7y
JenlovesJT47 @Beckykearns right?!? 😤 but she gets what's coming to her. 😉💩🍰 7y
BeckyK @JenlovesJT47 I just love it! Especially in the film when she just thinks she‘s being sassed and then realises 😂😂 7y
JenlovesJT47 @Beckykearns yes!!!!! 😂😂😂it never gets old! 7y
mrozzz SAME but she gets her just DESSERTS 😉🤣 7y
Andrew65 I want to try Gwendy‘s Button Box 7y
Andrew65 The Help ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 7y
JenlovesJT47 @Andrew65 Gwendy is soooo good! And it doesn't take long to read. I really hope they turn it into a movie! 7y
Avanders I'm so far behind here.... rather than post such a late one... I'll just tell you that 2 of my favorite series from when I was young: The Vampire Diaries (so much way before it was a tv show) and 7y
JenlovesJT47 @Avanders I've always wanted to read the Vampire Diaries! 7y
Avanders It's been many many years since I've read them, but I sure loved them! So much, I even sketched one of the covers .. and it was one of my best pieces of "art" at the time ? I've got to find that sketchbook..... ? 7y

Call me crazy, but if I had to pick one book for #feelslikethefirsttime I would pick one of my favorite books growing up, The Evil Twin 😆. It's my favorite Sweet Valley book and also is Christmas themed, so I try to read it once a year in December. Yes, I am a total nerd. Runner up would be my favorite book, Gone With the Wind. Thank you for hosting! Please enjoy this pic of my baby Maverick 😅. #catsoflitsy #sweetvalley #giveaway

JenlovesJT47 @TricksyTails @maich @rubyslippersreads thank you! 🤗you can't tell in this picture but he is super tiny, even though he is 2 years old. My friend found him in the bushes at Starbucks when he was a baby and the vet said he was malnourished and will always be small. It's like having a perpetual teenage kitten in the house, he's so adorable! 😻 7y
