The Snowstorm

The official snow total where I live in Colorado came in at 27.1”. Ripley decided to climb one of the snow hills in the back yard to the top, keep in mind the top of the fence is three feet.

Skygoddess1 @AmyG I‘m out by the airport and since we spent yesterday with blizzard conditions all day until midnight, yeah final total came in at 27.1”. I would‘ve preferred 5”, would‘ve made shoveling so much easier. 4y

This week, #weather in my area was a bit more like winter than fall. I took this picture of my backyard on Thursday during Winter Storm Avery. This was before the snow changed to sleet, then to rain. Thanks to the storm, I had my first snow day from the library for the season. What did I do? Read, of course!! #Gratitude30

Here‘s my blizzard reading stack. Power is out at home, giving me an unexpected partial day off. My Kindle is fully charged and there are plenty of unread books on there waiting for me. And maybe I can finish the book I started when we lost power in the storm a little over a week ago. Hope all my fellow New England littens are staying safe and warm today!

megt @DivineDiana I‘m pretty sure my family has used at least one full package batteries in the past week! Luckily our outage wasn‘t too bad this time around, but we were without power for almost 4 days after one of the last storms. So many flashlights and radios and battery operated candles! 7y
