so-so

This book was an Express train from point A to point B. There were no side stops or unexpected destinations. Some of it was scenic but not exciting. It was an easy read but there was no feeling that everything might not turn out exactly as planned and the main character gets picked on but otherwise doesn't have much in the way of flaws.

tessavi There are story telling games like Tales of the Arabian Nights & Once Upon a Time. Personally I love Hardback & Paperback, which are word games, kinda like scrabble. There are also library themed games like Ex Libris, but haven't played that one. 6y

tournevis @Whimsical.Curiosity @tessavi In quite different ways, both games are card drafting and deck crafting games, wherein you use letters to make words and therefore points. Both games have categories associated with books and genres, which affect points. For example, in Hardback, you ca use ink and whiteout to help you make better words. 6y

tournevis For a barebones word game, I humbly suggest Logomachy, a late 19th trick taking game about making words. The game has been out or print for decades, but I put print and play files on Boardgamegeek. https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/168937/logomachy-original-english-pnp-cards 6y

1. The occasional board game with my niece and nephew. I mostly play Xbox and Nintendo 3DS. I still have every game system I‘ve ever owned.
2. I‘m going to go with the Assassin‘s Creed Games for Xbox. And Pokemon for the Nintendo games.
3. Lately it has been Blockpuzzle. But I don‘t play much on my phone these days.
4. Not sure who my fellow gamers are. So if you are a gamer and you see this, consider yourself tagged.

2. 😍 League of Legends, Breath of the Wild, Kingdom Hearts II. Plus Ocarina of Time, Mario 3, Kirby's Adventure, Sims, Civ 5.
3. Cash Show/HQ. Kairosoft games like Game Dev Story and Mall Story. Settlers of Catan, Pandemic and Plague Inc. Disney Emoji Blitz, Disney Tsum Tsum, and the Harry Potter game

Finished the first in a large stack of library books! This one was so freaking cute! If I had have been about a decade younger when I met Noah (over a shared, long distance love of World of Warcraft) this story would have absolutely been relatable. Too bad Noah didn't end up being so close to home! A must read for gamers!

(Also, shout out to the Sault Ste Marie library, who never fails to put a barcode over someone's face lol)

Another book down! It's weird coming out of a reading slump, it seems much easier to read after you've had one! If you haven't read this book, you definitely need to give it a chance, it's one of my favorites!
