This book has got me twisted… one of my best friends just got engaged to a guy she‘s been dating for 6 months and she‘s 18… it‘s making me think a lot between her and this book.
8 days until my birthday and 6 days until our 2nd wedding anniversary the photo is from our honeymoon 2 years ago
Just finished it loved it wish it showed more after they get married though
Reading 3rd book of the summer I turned pretty at part Jeremiah cheats all I can think is belly is on train delulu 😂
I agree with what seems to be the consensus that this is the worst book in the trilogy. I feel like the other two balance really well between literary, if young adult, fiction and soap opera but this one leans daytime drama and the ending felt rushed and not payoff enough for 3 books worth of material. That said, again Lola Tung elevates with her excellent audio narration!
My second read through. Books change the more times you read them. This time I liked it better than then the first read through, then less, and finally better again. Which means the book brought up personal emotions for me which is the sign of a good book. I‘ll probably read the whole series again in a few years and review it differently then. So glad for books that make you the think, make you feel.
This one might be my fave in the series. It had summer chill vibes but also a shit ton of drama which I loved. I don‘t want to post any spoilers but the plot of this book is ridiculous. Just absolutely insane. But that made it fun. The ending was even more insane but whatever. Good overall. I enjoyed the series more than I thought I would and now I‘m excited to watch the show for the first time
I really ate these books up so I can‘t sit here and say they are horrible. BUT ain‘t no way in hell would anyone ever be so supportive of a person playing a family‘s emotions like that. Belly is actually a terrible person. How are you going to be in love with both of the fisher boys? Girl bye that is CRAZY.
Better than book two, but the show is still so much better. As is the To All The Boys I‘ve Loved Before series. I did not expect the direction of this final book, but I was happy with the very end and how it was tied together.
I guess I got the ending I wanted, but it felt so rushed. Maybe on the life "in between", the "how" it all tied together in the nice little bow. I am disappointed.
This is the third in a trilogy. This was my least favorite of the three. As I pictured these characters navigating their lives in this book, it felt like none of them were themselves. Which is maybe a theme but it was uncomfortable for me to read. This series would be a great book club choice because there would be a lot of great discussion.
I finished this like a week ago, and honestly, it was not very good at all. The storyline was a bit absurd in my opinion, and I found none of the characters likable.
August recap in book reviews:
Long story short, even Belly (the protagonist) has no idea what she wants. The end.
Thank you, next
The final book in this trilogy became available…looking like another quick read!
Feeling sorry for Jeremiah tbvh and kinda angry at Belly for showing immaturity in decisions like marriage.
Overall a good summer read.

such a beautifully written ending to this story. i‘m glad i didn‘t still hate belly by the end. as much as i was team jeremiah, i‘m glad he and belly were mature and adult about their later decisions in this book. taylor also grew on me by the end! by the last couple of chapters, i was on the edge of my seat, heart beating fast. and by the end, i was swooning at the utter romance. conrad‘s letters were also everything.
Book 3/3 in the summer series. A great wrap up on the relationships developed between Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. However, the book left me wanting a little more of Belly grown up. The glimpses were great - perhaps the new tv series will give us some more of the third book.
Belly is in college and the love triangle continues. Loving brothers but marrying only one. This third/final book gives voice to Conrad as well as Belly while she and Jeremiah are in the midst of wedding planning. Still emotional but not as much as with the second book. Lots of twists and turns and which boy will get her heart. Many times I didn't want it to be either and for her to just date someone new altogether.
Beautiful and well written and we get some of Conrad‘s point of view. This book belly has choices to make. Great read. Great series.
1/18/2021 (See review for The Summer I Turned Pretty) I was glad to have finished the series. I wanted to know how the characters ended up. There was a sufficient payoff for an ok trilogy.
Yep, definite masochist. I do not recommend the Summer trilogy by Jenny Han. IDK why I did that 😅🤷🏽♀️ lmao
Any recommendations for a book with MORE than two POVs?
The last book of this trilogy was bittersweet. I loved that it contained Conrad's POV. I always liked Jeremiah better but with this one, I changed my mind. I always kinda judged Belly for not making a definite choice and kind of playing with both of Beck's boys hearts but seeing this new POV from Conrad made me realize why she was so torn. I was expecting a rushed and quick ending from the reviews I had read but I thought it was just perfect.
It was nice to have some closure after an up-and-down series. I wish the ending was longer with more detail. That‘s all I‘m really disappointed in.
Super cute ending to the series. These books are so compelling, I read this one, as I did the others, in a day. I enjoyed the epically poor decisions these characters made, so realistic for college-age teenagers. I wasn't super thrilled with how one of the relationships we see a lot of, while the other happens so much off the page, making it hard to know why she picked one over the other. And the ending was too neatly tied in a bow. 7/10 ⭐️
Good conclusion to the Summer Series by Jenny Han. I liked the chapters from different perspectives and the realistic depiction of the strain in family relationships as kids begin to make independent decisions that parents don't support.
Finally finished this series at the end of 2018. I enjoyed this series overall but I definitely switched back and forth between which of Beck‘s boys she should be with. (Still not 100% sure I like the end result lol)
September 18: Aesthetic Fictional Setting - I have been longing for a trip to the beach recently and this book series by Jenny Han definitely appeals to my aesthetic. A beach house for the summer is a dream in itself. #beach #septinbooks17
Very good but I didn't realize until after I finished it that it's the last book of a trilogy 😑
