I needed a palette cleanser after my last read so I turned to this sweet little graphic romance. Mari and Hazel are separated in their youth but reunited 50 years later - the art was so lovely but the story moved a little too quickly in places for my taste. Another 10 pages would have really helped with that.

Got really close for an April #bookspinbingo I have square 7 half way done. I did read both my #bookspin and #doublebookspin and a #Roll100
I‘ll count that as a successful month!

Top picture is the year-long book challenge through my library. I have 3 bingos currently, & they will do a drawing for a bookstore gift card in a few days (every 3 mths). The bottom is March #bookspinbingo; I actually finished 1 line this month.

Someone please remind me when I‘m doing next month‘s #BookspinBingo board to not be extra with the background for my individual Bingo squares. I just can‘t resist when it comes to glitter. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Managed to eke out four #BookspinBingo lines this month. I had one bail and one hibernation. None of these were 5⭐️, but my center square (Burnt Shadows by Kamila Shamsie - review later today) came pretty darn close and was my only 4.75⭐️ this month! Thanks for sending it @BarbaraBB 💜💜

February #BookspinBingo is looking great! I started reading Walking the Americas yesterday, but I haven‘t gotten far. I‘m feeling a bit better with my cold, and I‘m very glad my Covid test came back negative!!

I never know whether to count books I finish on the 1st in that month or the prior one. 🤔 So I guess The Passenger, a surprise hit, squeaks in here. Six bingos and one of my best print months ever! Louise Erdrich was a hit and so was Kent Haruf. Can‘t wait to read more from both! #BookspinBingo

My favorite book of June was this graphic novel about two ladies who get a second chance at love.

Honorable mentions to The Kite Runner graphic novel. Very good story, but again, I just can't say that human suffering is my favorite.

Four bingos and quite a few print books read (for me at least)! Really great end to the year. #BookspinBingo

I finished 13 print books in November, put one in hibernation, and read my four short stories. Good month despite my end-of-year slowdown! At the end of the month, I was purposefully avoiding getting a bingo. 🤣 #BookspinBingo
