This is not my favorite Sittenfeld book by far, but anything she writes is solid. This one can be a little depressing at times, but I think interpretation of the ending makes for a great discussion.

Accidentally took a month long break from Litsy! Still here...still on the couch...still reading. The usual ♥️📖
Photos from my morning walk down to Fisherman‘s Park. ♥️ #BookFitnessChallenge
So proud of myself for hitting my daily goal of 7,000 steps before 9am! And I have a plan to walk Boulevard Lake at 1230 with a friend. This is going to be a good day! Now I‘m just holding out for the weather to get nicer! It‘s only +4 right now.
So far I‘m enjoying this audiobook, but I‘ll have to pause it soon to get in some #NetGalley reviews.
Up and at em at 645 this morning! I‘ve got my audiobook on and my flavoured water for the next few days all set to go!
I am an absolute sucker for flavoured water, and I have a list of about 150 different combos 😂 My favourite combo is 2 oz pure cranberry juice, lime slices and fill remaining with cold water.
I‘m currently listening to The Man of My Dreams by Curtis Sittenfeld. What book are you you guys staring off with?#bookfitnesschallenge
Posting this because, while this has never once occurred to me, I know EXACTLY what she means.
Curtis Sittenfeld's #sophomorenovel exemplifies the lacklustre follow-up to breakout success. In spite of some impressive advanced praise from Alice Munro on the back!
(Some of the themes in this one are picked up/recycled in Eligible.)

Enjoyed this but think I would have liked it a lot more in my 20s (a while ago now!).
Loved Prep and this one has been on my "to read" shelf forever. Looking forward to this one!
