It's Fashion Week! Here are a few fabulous novels with characters who work in the industry in some capacity, or are really into fashion. (Links in comments.) 👠👜👗 #LitsyRecommendations
15 books this month! I think The Kept Woman was my fave, and Honesty and An Innocent Fashion win for unexpected finds that left me completely gutted.
Seems like it was just yesterday when I got to 1,000 😺 My dog and her bits thanks all you Littens for providing an awesome space to talk about books!
I haven't won a Goodreads giveaway in forever until this and based on the description, I'm in for something good - the back cover says The Devil Wears Prada meets The Bell Jar - yes, please 😀 Thanks #harperperennial

Wow. Much darker than I had anticipated, with intensity and moments of lightness. Not at all a typical boy makes good in the big city book, which is what, I think, makes it so good. Very realistic depictions of the feverish friendships you find in life sometimes, and those sections sweep you in, churn you over and around, and then drop you suddenly back into reality. Highly recommend.
I was a little unsure at the beginning because it reads a lot like The Devil Wears Prada, but now that I'm reaching the middle it's settled down and I'm loving it. Parts are reminiscent of a book I read ages ago that dealt with life and class and gender and sexuality at Yale called Everything Looks Impressive, but there's an interesting romantic twist and unexpected allies, and I'm engrossed.
Methinks it's time to start this. As much as I'm longing to dive into The Crow Girl, or catch up on Karin Slaughter's Will Trent books, I keep coming back to this. Now, if I can stay awake long enough to read a little bit . . .
Oh yes, I ate this right up. Ethan St. James, a wide-eyed Ivy League graduate, discovers that his dream of "making it" at a fashion magazine in NYC may well be his undoing. Fast, funny, and ruthless!
I was browsing Amazon and this little smoosh-face wanted to read, too. Livy has a love-hate relationship with books; she loves them because Mama stays still when she's reading so puppy can sleep, but she hates them because when I'm reading I can't pet her. #readingwithpugs
Excited to sink my teeth into this one! It's edited by Hannah Wood - I read everything she works on. 📚💕🚀
