Absolutely not for me, at all. The plot was all over!
I'm only about 1/3 of the way through the book andI feel like I know what's happening ... but then I think 'I'm only 1/3 of the way in and I almost never figure things out this quickly' and so am doubting myself lol
Taking a breather. Started another book from my tbr and my #bookspinbingo board
Not for me, I found this book dragged a lot but I know many people that do like it!
An awesome read! I took a while to find the rhythm of the story but once it got going - pow! I couldn‘t put it down. Lots of twists and surprises along the way keep you guessing until the very end. Well worth a look!
A slow starter that turned into an unputdownable read!
Intriguing characters and a truly gripping plot. Keeps you guessing right until the end.
I loved this book! I just couldn‘t put it down the entire time. This was my first read by Sharon Bolton and I definitely need to read more of her books! It was one of those books that you don‘t know what‘s going on until the very end and I loved it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟!
If anyone wants a copy of The Split by Sharon Bolton it is currently available for 99p in the UK.
(Tagged the Split because it talks a lot about cold weather! Lol!)
1. Nope. Moved quite a bit when I was growing up. Then moved to a totally different city 4 years ago.
2. Ooo good question. I‘m going with the sun in the sky and the air in my lungs! 😎
Thank you for tagging me @robinb

UK people! 99p on Amazon! Quite the bargain for such a new release! 😍😍😍
Ooh, this was a good, twisty, turny read! Just when you think you have the plot nailed down, something else pops up! I loved it. I really liked the descriptions of South Georgia - it sounds both beautiful and uninviting!
Mainly I'm a fan of her Lacey Flint series but her stand-alone thrillers are usually good fast moving reads too.
And reading about glaciers took me away for a while. 🐧❤️
This is a murder mystery with a really unique edge, there are the murders of rough sleepers, home invasion and yet it also deals with abuse, mental illness, homelessness and fear. There‘s a clever, complex plot with some really creepy moments too…..my windows are all shut and locked that‘s for sure….! Dark, tension filled and a thoroughly chilling read. I loved every minute.
Wow, what an exhilarating read! A gripping, rollercoaster of a read full of twists and turns. I have to admit I was completely confused at one point and my head was in a spin! I really didn‘t know what to believe. It took me on such an mystifying journey. The descriptions of South Georgia are wonderful, I could almost feel the freezing temperatures and the ice crunching beneath my feet. A disturbing and exciting psychological thriller - loved it
The blurb says it‘s “tense, gripping, & with a twist you won‘t see coming” - except you probably will. Also this is the second book I‘ve read recently where therapists seem to quickly forget their professional ethics & cross the line. Not good. 3⭐️
Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, Orion Publishing Group / Trapeze, for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley
Sharon Bolton does it again. She always surprises me. This is one of her slower burn books but dang. I loved the building tension. Great book! Now I‘m excited for the next in the Craftman series! #murder2020 20/30

Setting: Antarctic & Cambridge. Felicity is on the run and hiding from her ex-husband in South Georgia Island in Antarctica. She is a glaciologist. While back in Cambridge she visits a psychologist who delves into her background and ends up helping her. A bit slow in the beginning but a very gripping read in the end. Twists kept me on the edge!
I would like to thank St. Martin‘s Press for an ARC for an honest review.
😱It‘s not a big deal and she responded to most other comments like this but oh my! Sharon Bolton is my all time favorite author and I‘m totally fangirling right now!!!
Too excited!!! Wooooow, just found out Sharon is coming out with this new stand-alone in the spring. I am already waiting for spring more than anyone can understand, and now this! She‘ll have the follow up to the Craftsman out, too! Also, Jane Casey‘s new Maeve Kerrigan coming this spring. I feel like a child who‘s had way too much sugar! 🥰
This is what happens when I‘m half asleep, feeding a baby, and find out that my favorite author has 2 books coming out next year. I‘m so excited since she didn‘t have a book out this year. 💃
