pickI really loved this book. It has everything: history, art, fantasy, and, of course, a likable, gutsy protagonist who is cursed to wander the world always forgotten by all that meet her. How can you make your mark on the world if the world cannot remember you? How do you find love and connection? Beautifully answered in this very well written and satisfying read. Also, kudos to the narrator of the audiobook, Julia Whelan.

This poem is for a girl who lives in a world where no one remembers her existence.
She can leave no physical marks behind without facing any resistance.
She has lived in the world where with just one look a person cannot remember her face or her name.
A world where she has seen much darkness and pain.
When she made her deal with the Dark she did not understand the cost.
Nothing ever stays the same. As the great Lauryn Hill has said “Everything is everything. What is meant to be, will be. After winter must come spring. Change comes eventually.”

pickLife got in the way of getting to read this book for a few months when I initially started it. Highly recommend reading this beautifully written story. Without too much detail, Addie bargains away her soul. She soon learns what she got wasn't exactly what she wanted. This is my first book from this author, but will definitely read more.
pickAwesome premise - I was hooked very early on! Unfortunately the middle part was repetitive so that took away from the whole experience. I did like the ending.
so-soThis one has been popular the last couple of years but I didn‘t enjoy it too much. It felt like word vomit a lot of the time. I liked the premise, the characters, and the ending. But the meat of the story was chaotic. Perhaps better editing was needed?

After making a desperate pact 300 years ago to be allowed to live, Addie is cursed to wander the world invisible to everyone around her until one man remembers her. A beautifully crafted story that spans centuries whilst being rooted in the present, which sweeps you along. Truly loved this book and will be recommending it to people for a long time.
I cannot put this book down! It is captivating with the seamless swing from past to present. Do I have to go to work tomorrow or can I bunk off to read this all night?

This is hands down one of the best books I have ever read. It's a bit different but oh so good. A magical experience for the mind. A love story for the soul. I don't say soul lightly either. I story of hope. A story of “Not forgetting.“ A story about a girl. Then a boy. And the deals they made.
