pickI listened o. Audio and really enjoyed this book until about the last hour. It felt as if the author just ran out of steam ms wrapped up a major loose end by just saying so after a fever pitch of build up. But until that last hour, I was fully intrigued.
pickEarl and I tore through this story of an ex-wife and the clone her partner left her for. I could listen to Xe Sands read all day long.
pick1st read of 2022. Beautifully written and an intriguing plot.

panI found this one incredibly boring. I don't get the hype. There was nothing really thrilling about this book at all. And the main character was so unlikable.. 1/5 stars.

I‘m reading it. 75-ish pages in and the main characters has no decent relationships, not with her parents, not with her ex-husband, not with her actual clone (😜). I‘ll give it 100 pages to pick up and get better, and if it doesn‘t, I‘m out ✌️🦄
This was great. I enjoyed it for many reasons, including the questions I was left with upon finishing. Sarah Gailey is just so good! I look forward to following wherever they lead us next. And Xe Sands‘ narration was perfect.

pickThe science fiction psychological thriller I didn't know I needed and wanted so badly. Evelyn is recently divorced from her husband, Nathan, after finding out that he was cheating on her... with her clone. Shockingly, that's possibly the least chaotic aspect of the story. Everything only gets crazier and more morally gray from there. Giving the reader Black Mirror and Westworld vibes, The Echo Wife is unlike any domestic thriller you've read yet.
YAY! I was approved for this ARC from #Netgalley. I may have to rearrange my #TBR books AGAIN.
pickOoh I thought I knew where it was headed and then it took a surprising and drastic turn I didn't see coming. Domestic suspense mixed into a sci-fi thriller, what an interesting combo!

pickHonestly between a pick and a so-so...overall I liked this blend of sci-fi and domestic thriller - Sarah Gailey always has great unique concepts! I just felt like we spent too much time in Evelyn's internal world and not enough time on the kind of fast-paced action I expect from a thriller. Out February 16.
Excited to start this ARC this evening!
pickI could not put this down, I raced through it in two days, while anxiously waiting for election results, so you know it's engrossing.
What a wild concept. A woman and her clone have to cover up her (their?) husband's murder. It's a complex thriller, the main character is very complicated and not all that likeable, but that makes her more interesting.
Sarah Gailey is an autobuy for me after this!

pickI've yet to come across a Sarah Gailey book I haven't adored and this one is no exception. A scientist researching clone development is horrified to learn her estranged husband used her research to create a "more perfect" version of her--and even more horrified to find that this cloned version of herself now needs her help. A phenomenal book about humanity, agency, sexism, and domestic violence. And whew what a read.

WOW. The twists the turns! Some of them are a bit predictable, but even then when they came I would go DAMN
People are going to Hate our main character, and drop the rating down. but I think she is great. Damaged, and driven and not a woman we see much of. Her character is a necessary driving force of the book.
The writing itself isn't ground breaking, but the book is pure twisted escapism, & easy to sink into.
I'm a huge fan of Sarah Gailey and let out a scream when Tor sent me an #ARC of their upcoming novel, scheduled for release in February 2021.
