Another great book, however I wasn't excited about the ending. I feel like it would have been a better ending if Aurora didn't come back. I mean, love means not demanding more than you're willing to give right?
Additionally poor Tyler never gets the recognition he deserves. Like he literally saves the space station and all the top execs from being blown up. But gets nothing in return.
All together though great series.
For once I enjoyed the time travel..it connected the dots. I don't like thinking that one person's disappearance caused the end of humanity. Arrogance. The end was such a disappointment.
So many loved this book. However, I found it disappointing. The pacing felt off on this one. Some parts moved very quick and others dragged and felt heavy. The ending was almost anticlimactic. It left me wondering if the authors just can out of steam. 2.5/3 ⭐️
Thrilling end to the Aurora Cycle series!

I rated each of the three books 3½⭐so that makes for an obvious overall Rating of 3½⭐ for the Series
I wish I could say I loved this series as much as the Illuminae Files…but sadly it just didn‘t grab me like that. My significant issue with this series is how some situations are dragged out for so long that they become tedious. Other than that…the characters are super likable & diverse. I did like how everything tied together at the end.
Was off work early today so got to spend a good chunk of time #audiocrocheting, which was perfect since I was worried I wouldn‘t get to finish my library book before it was due to return! I finished with plenty of time to spare so avoided what would‘ve been a maddening 20 week wait to read the last quarter of the book. I was a bit put off at the beginning of the first book but I gave it a chance & once I got into it, I really enjoyed this series!
I loved this series so much that I named my dog Aurora Jie-Lin! Lol I ended up listening to the audiobook because I (flex) didn't wanna read my autographed copy. Unfortunately, I don't always enjoy the audio as much as the book. (Because I have a hard time paying attention) I give 4/5👽
Most of my current #tbrpile is comprised of books that are bricks (big and long). Like this one. #currentlyreading #finalbook #aurorarisingseries #loveozya #scifi #snarky #intense plus our #heliconia

Since I did outlander last week, I'm gonna do my audiobook.

1. Reading goals for the year are to read 60 books (preferably unread books I already own)
2. Contentment
3. I‘m enjoying the tagged book on audio!
Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView! #ThoughtfulThursday
Happy New Year to you all!
What a great finale! At first there was a bit too much lovey-dovey for me, but that soon came down to an more than acceptable amount. From that moment on I couldn't stop reading. For me the best part of the whole trilogy. Kaufman and Kristoff did a great job by developing the characters and their relationships, and the main plot of the story is so captivating!

Finished this trilogy; overall I enjoyed this series: I loved all the Star Trek “Easter Eggs “ - Janeway Station : wink wink 😉. It‘s unapologetically YA so the characters are good looking and super talented and prone to insta love. It‘s a fast paced and I had a hard time putting the ebooks down .Recommended to fans of the Illuminae Files
I enjoyed the final book in this series, we find out about squad 312, all the team and what happened at the end of book two. There is a recap at the beginning about what did happen in the first two books. I found this very good as it was such a long time since I read it. I was happy with the ending and all the explanations given.
My favorite thing about the first two book was the banter between the characters and the found family trope. Maybe I was just too excited to read this, but I was ultimately disappointed. I enjoyed it, but it lacked much of what I found charming in the previous books and took me a couple weeks to get through 😩
Someone stole my book... it's a good thing she's cute! #raisingreaders
So very thankful this series includes a "Things You Should Know" at the beginning so I don't have to reread the previous book - I wish more series would do this!! My brain is getting too old to remember everything I used to...
Can‘t resist showing off the final pumpkin donut product.
Off to put my feet up and play some Two Dots while I keep listening to Aurora‘s End. I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH.
Squeeeee! Listening to this one - FINALLY! - as I do some #thanksgiving baking.
I only get Thursday off work - Wed & Fri the kids and my husband get to hang out. But I‘m still thankful for the actual day. And for good books to listen to while I‘m working! 💜
The conclusion to this trilogy came in at the library this week and I jumped right in as I have been yearning to find out how everything comes together!! This was one of those books that flirts with the "this is way too complicated to make sense" line, but I think they overall pulled it off haha I love the characters and the snark and definitely plan to reread this series someday!!
I love when I get a surprise preorder! I love this series and am sad to see it end!!!
I swear to god. This book is SO good! Honestly, if we put aside the fact that I'm a emotional mess right now, you could say that I really enjoyed this book. I sobbed so many times through out the book, but it was totally worth it! I'm very happy with the ending of this book and so it get's: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
We the legion.
We the light.
Burning bright, against the night.
Squad 312 forever.
Beloved, Kal says, so small in this endless galaxy, but never, ever unheard.
“We will dance the dance of blood with you. We will paint the sun red this day.” She shakes her head. “And Unbroken do not say goodbye.”
“But if I‘m gonna die, then I‘m gonna die fighting! And the best place to fight from is here!”
She meets my stare and simple shrugs. “Then I‘m staying with you.”
But even an elephant can be killed with enough ants. And most ants aren‘t armed with nuclear ordnance.
Where do I even start? I‘ve been waiting on this book for MONTHS and it was every bit as amazing as I though it would be. I loved the writing and the characters so much. It was great to read the ending of the squad‘s story and definitely my favorite series. My dad said he‘s never seen me cry over books as much as I have over this series and I think that summarizes my experience pretty well. It‘s beautiful. It‘s emotional. It‘s the perfect ending.
Love is more powerful than rage, or hate.
And it always will be.
Love can change everything.
“Know no fear, my friends. Know no regret. The end is no ending. And death is no defeat. I will see you in the stars.”
"We will dance the dance of blood with you. We will paint the sun red this day." She shakes her head. "And Unbroken do not say goodbye."
“But if I'm gonna die, then I'm gonna die fighting, And the best place to fight from is here!”
Ten thousand ships, ten thousand shots, ten thousand fists holding aloft our light in the dark.
“If you're asking where l found the skill, courage, and general fabulousness to perform emergency surgery the middle of all this chaos, well. If you think that after auditioning all those guys to find the perfect boyfriend I was going to let a little thing like a tracheotomy get in the way of true love, you've clearly underestimated how tired am of the search.”
Maybe the heart was all we ever had, maybe love was always the flame we used to hold back the dark.
"My father taught me to fight with courage," she says, defiant. "But my mother taught me to die with honor."
I hold out my hand, one last time. “We can do this.“
Scarlett takes hold and squeezes. “We the Legion.“
Finian wraps his silver fingers around ours. “We the Light.“
Nari puts her hand on ours and nods. “Burning bright against the night.
“Squad 312 forever,“ I smile.
“I must remain in the past to safeguard our future.”
“Eliminate the impossible, and what remains, no matter how improbable…”
I look to Fin
“…or painful…”
then to Scarlett
“…or sad…”
and last to Nari
“…is the truth.”
The Free Peoples of the galaxy fight with the kind of bravery that legends are spun from, that songs are sung of.
But if we fail here, there will be no one left to sing them.
Love is the beginning and the end of everything I do. It‘s my reason. It's the answer to every question. It gives me strength. And my love is with me.
