I liked the heart of this one but wanted it to be a little more about the “feeling left out” of the subtitle than feeling actively rejected. Not a perfect fit for me in this season, but still worth reading. February #bookspin
Really great book. Very raw and real.
There were some good reminders and lessons in this book! A bit more cheesy than my taste, but still good reminders.
I related to this book very strongly. As a stay at home mom feeling left out, less valuable, and lonely are all feelings I struggle with. #20in4 3:12:16
I could not get into this book. Maybe this particular book would be good If I had a history of abandonment.
Today‘s challenge. 🌈
How are you, my Litten friends? I‘m sorry I‘ve been AWOL for so long. I‘m sending the little bit of love and hope I have to you today in a global, socially distanced hug.
A book about feeling loved by God despite what life throws at you. It especially resonated with me when she talked about the lack of a relationship with her father. A spiritual memoir of sorts.
While I could relate very strongly to feelings of rejection that she discusses, I found most of the book unhelpful, largely in the way of ‘I already knew that...easier said than done.‘ Oh well. I guess I should have known it wasn‘t going to be that easy to resolve this struggle.
This is a great month for my reading. I read a book. I read more than one. That‘s something I enjoyed or learned. I‘m happy with it, but next month I‘m going to read more about Massachusetts. #stats #februarystats
Finally my cuddle reading buddy here 😊❤️🐶

Starting out with trying to finish off a few last books. I don‘t think Christian self-help is my genre. 🤷🏼♀️
"It was as if I walked into each of these situations suddenly feeling like I wouldn't be able to breathe, unless someone else invited me in."
I've never related to a quote more than this one. This is exactly how I feel in any networking situation. Definitely an area I need to work on.
Live loved ♡
I hardly recommend this to everyone. It is a really good book and made me cry a few times. I am only on chapter 2 and loving it. Also, I am doing a buddy read with a friend in church who read it 3 times.

Best Read of 2017! God chose me, in His courts, I'm always invited!
Man, this lady has been speaking some truth into my heart lately.
Grabbed this at our Church library. I think it may be one that I will have to buy my own copy of.
Yes...working through the book, study guide and audio book😝 for Bible study class!!!! #Uninvited by Lisa TerKeurst
#Bleeckersays Mom I'm glad you're home #pugsoflitsy
4⭐️This was the July book for my Book Club. I love self help books but if they don't apply to me at the time I read it, I have a difficult time reading it. There was much wisdom in this book, and I loved how she spoke about difficult issues. However I had to speed read/ skip a couple chapters just because I am not feeling rejection at this point in my life. Sometime down the road, I am sure I will come back to this book with the wisdom it provides
New satin- like pajamas ( but alas they are not- I am going to use my Anne Shirley imagination that they are so because they feel an awful like it) and evening reading before bed. 💙📚🌳
Dreary and quiet afternoon at the library, but going to snag some reading time during lunch before Tail Waggin Tutors arrive 🐩🐶🐾#BookClubRead

I love Lysa TerKeurst's books. I always find nuggets of wisdom from her writing. This book was no exception.
This book will get you as you get it. Ladies, do you have an injured heart in any shape or form? From your past or because you can't see your future? This book applies to you. My gosh, this lady knows how to write. And she's funny. #bonuspoints Highly recommend. Revelations in each chapter. Loved it. #univited #lysaterkeurst
No amount of outside achievement fixes inside hurts.
Had to bail on this one. It was way too Christian based as opposed to a psychology book as I had thought it was. Oh well...good thing I got it for a buck through Amazon!
Picked this up a while ago to try and get to know my demons...I met one face to face tonight & it's uglier than I thought. No selfies for that beast...
This book came into my life at the perfect time. Written as though you are talking to your best friend. If you ever feel alone, rejected, or left out, this book will give you hope.
What a perfect description of rejection...
I live the way Lysa describes going to a party full of people and feeling completely alone... This book is hard to put down and came into my life at the perfect time. #introvert #rejection #god
Feet up, crackling fire, new book. #happy
I've read this book three times this year. This was my first audio experience. The first two times: I read slowly, I highlighted, I reread parts, I absorbed the good stuff. I felt understood. I left a review on Litsy.
With this third audio read, I did not have as intense a reading experience as before. Perhaps this is because the narrator read a little too fast. Or maybe after three times, I almost have the book memorized.
👉🏻 Highly recommend.
This book has so much truth laced into it. Despite the fact that I did not identify with the subtitle I found this book met me right where I am. Better read in community with others! I loved the study guide. It extends & enhances the book itself. It can be done independently, but was more of an experience with the two functioning as a pair. TerKeurst shares vulnerably, dives into Scripture, addresses challenging topics, & challenges us to as well.
Devoured. This is one that I would have quit on if I hadn't been reading it in community and boy oh boy am I grateful I didn't. Life changing.
For my thoughts on this and other titles, check out my blog at readallthethings.wordpress.com! Thanks for stopping by! 😀
Sharing a little secret about this book, on my blog now. Review coming to Litsy soon!
Our moms small group is writing weekly quotes from the book on globes. The idea of being "set apart" is definitely one that stands out from this weeks reading.
